What My Mama Told Me

What did your mama tell you, truly the first teacher we have, before we learn for ourselves, they were there guiding us all step of the way, actively representing Dad who is out there trying to ensure we are comfortable t home. Therefore it can only be them we can ask those questions to, remember we are young and inexperienced, so there are a lot of questions raising up in our minds, we turn and look and there is mama, so she gets our questions, and she tells us the answer, adding to the many things she constantly say to us, so we all can't fully exhaust what mama has said to us. So because mum must have said more than a million words to me, I guess I'll have to pick out those words that makes more sense to me now. So what has my mama said to me: Mama Told Me To Beware Of Bad Company Probably one of the common words our mothers must have said to us, hey will beware of bad friends they can ruin your life. Back then she said it so casually but as I began to grew with age the warning didn't stop, instead the warning got more heated, she became more serious with the warning and I had already begin to learn of such things in school and church, so it stuck. Now I don't relate with everyone just because we are all human, I need to be sure you're a positive flow into my life or good at least, not one for unnecessary troubles. Its by far one of the mama's advice no kid should take as worthless, its completely worth it to listen and adhere to such saying. Failure to do so would tell on us, it isn't going to be anyone taking the fall and consequences for our actions, it would be us also bearing the brunt. So many have been severely hurt, punished or even killed because of bad association, this unnecessary trouble has cost them more than they bargained for, all this and more is enough cause to listen to what mama once said, as she tells us to beware of bad association. It doesn't end here, mama said a lot. Mama Told Me To Be contented Growing up wasn't in luxury, well still yet not in luxury, but we have seen how the luxurious life is, how sweet and enticing it can be, where everything' you wish or need is already provided for, and it'll make you want to question your root, or even look down on your parents. Well mama knew this already and decided to give us this advice growing up, will be contented with what you have so you don't steal someone else's own. It makes more sense to me now, why contentment is a vital habit for everyone to have if we truly hope the world turns our better. A simple issue but when its not dealt with properly becomes a serious one, then it becomes an issue of greed swimming in. Contentment applies to the rich as well as the poor, in fact most times we find the rich more greedy than the poor, to keep on taking and siphoning others share just for selfish gain, all this has consequences, as the biggest reason why people lose money is because of greed, so same way they gain money from greed be sure it has a way its planning to take it back. Be contented and strive hard guys. Mama Told Me To Pray Always Still my power source till date, I never knew how important this advice would be until I understood for myself, I understood the importance of prayers and how it helps us win over the battles of life, as humans there are limited abilities to what we can achieve and get, so we surely need the help of our God up above to help us win. And how best to communicate with this mighty authority than with prayer, mama thought me yo pray and told me never to stop praying. Been holding on this and its been working. Of course it'll keep on working, pray without ceasing its said. Mama Told Me Never To Forget My Family Family remains our number 1 supporters and they would always continue to support not withstanding what everyone else chooses, the world can war against you but be sure your family still would be there every step of the way. So family shouldn't be sidelined, family first she says, because that is why she and my dad took good care of us first before any other, so we also must take care of family cause only they truly care. My children, my partner, my parents, my siblings, all working together in oneness of love. Mama To Me Never Give Up She began by telling me a whole lot of stories of people who didn't give up and kept fighting for what they belived in and they finally succeeded, believe me it was a great motivation from such a young age till date, I have been so much on pushing for the best and not giving up from young thanks to her. Growing up i have seen how life can be so trickish and strict to everyone, we only when we are not shaking, rather we stand our ground and not give up. This is how we win, by standing our ground. My mama did say a lot of things of which I can't forget, I hold them so dearly to me, I can't possibly write everything down, moreover I can't remember everything she said fully, but those I know I don't let go. Hope you all know dad is not exempted, I decided to use mom cause She's always around and available, but dad is always here too, just busy getting needs meet.
