Will suffering ever end? - a tale of the wailing
I was in the living room with my eldest brother watching my favorite novela - "the search for frida" a suspense filled drama series that keeps one on the edge trying to decipher what will happen next which airs on telemundo. we never miss an episode of this drama at all. whether it's as late as 2am, myself and my brother will always find our way to the living room just for this drama and other interesting dramas which made my family nicknamed us both telemundo special. While watching yesterday, daddy stepped in and said "please put on channel 91". Our countenance changed immediately. Just when the action is about to kick-start and now we'll have to switch to NTAi a news channel ah such bad timing. We couldn't complain. I grudgingly stood up and pressed 9 and then 1. my brother walked out to his room immediately and well as for me i decided to sit back and press my phone hoping daddy will say the magic words "you can change it"
Few minutes down, i didn't hear any magic words but heard a loud cry of a woman instead. The sound was coming from the television so i looked up and yes it was an older woman who was crying. I paid more attention and i got to know the reasons for her tears. she and many others were instructed by the lagos state government to leave their place of abode which is under a bridge! the news reported that some after being told about the instruction fainted and were being rushed to the hospital. All of this for a space under a bridge! a spot where there's no security where one can be robbed, raped or even killed!
I felt really pained as this is going on in a state that's nicknamed the seat excellence with almost all the celebrities living therein. Why will the government even do that to them? well the news also had it that some part of the bridge(bothering big cities) was starting to get destroyed as a result of fire and other things that those living under were doing. It was so bad that it got the attention of the Governor of the state who had to go and see for himself alongside his entourage. Looking at the damage done, i really do not blame the government for taking that decision. It cost a lot to build a bridge and it'll cost so much more if it gets destroyed as lives would also be lost but then what will this many people do now? where will they put their heads to rest? some have lived there for many years, doing little business to get what to eat and wear. what will happen to all that now? i feel really bad for this people and i can't seem to understand why they'd be rich people that can feed a generation at a place but yet in the same place, many others are suffering for shelter and what to eat. why can't they extend a helping hand to them? it is something like this that pushes one to do something the society will consider a crime just to ensure survival which is also why i really do not judge anyone at all. you don't know what that person has gone through that made him or her the way they are. Look at what's going on in ukraine. People are forced to flee from the place they call home, the place they've lived all of their lives, people are losing their lives to a problem that they ain't concerned about personally
After the news, i headed to my room and went on my knees to appreciate God for the life i've got, the shelter over my head, for my parents who ensured i eat three square meals. i did more of appreciating god in my prayers that night

Thanks.
War is a threat to the country and the nation. In this way you will not be able to live independently and you will not be able to eat. It is very difficult to spend the day. Really inhumane torture is going on in Ukraine. This is not right. If everything is settled peacefully, it will be good for everyone. By the grace of God we are well in this respect.
