Situation Room

Hi lovely writers on Readcash! There's a situation in our hands that needs attention. So I overheard a true life story and I felt I needed to share this and also hear what your views are. Here it goes

The curtain opens and one can see Trust, his wife and kids having breakfast on a Saturday morning. It's a weekend and this implies that the kids will be home all day which also implies that their mummy has to work some more as the kids whilst playing will scatter the arrangement of the house. The kids were done eating and left the table to go do their business (play). Trust and his wife Betty were alone. Darling.. Betty began, as Trust attention was drawn. Betty continued, Today is the day that's affixed for the PTA meeting of our kids. will you kindly drop me off at the school gate? Trust replied almost immediately obviously without thinking: I can't dear. I've got to fix something in the office. Why don't you use a cab instead? Babe it's difficult to get a cab this days. One has to wait for a long time. Please reconsider Betty replied. Ah ah don't make it seem like I don't want to take you. I have to work. This is what puts food in our table remember? Betty knew that making any further statment might lead to a quarrel so she ended the conversation my grudgingly uttering Ok..

Some minutes later, Trust drove out and well she also had to prepare and do the chores quickly so that she'd be able to attend the meeting on time. Betty doesn't have a maid. She never liked that kinda concept because of the Ill stories of how maids sleep with people's husbands and also go as far as getting pregnant for their boss thereby breaking.the home. She doesn't want to experience anything of that sort so she resorted to do all chores herself. Her husband has even suggested that she get a maid and stop overworking herself but she refused. While doing the dishes, Betty's sister walked in.. Sister.. good morning she muttered. How are my dear? You came earlier than expected (Betty had earlier called her sister to come look after the kids while she'll be at the PTA meeting.) Let me help you with this. Betty's sister took over with the dish washing. Thank you dear. Let me quickly go and prepare for the meeting Betty said. Go on sister. I'll take care of everything.

An hour later, Betty was all dressed up and ready for the meeting. She called the kids and bid them goodbye. She stepped out of the house and walked to the junction. unlucky for her the sun was out shining like never before. She hissed and said to herself "Trust won't listen to me" after about 30 minutes, she got a cab.

The hall was filled with lots of parents and guardians alike. Betty was navigating around for an empty seat when a soft voice called to her attention 'Come seat here ma'am' it says. When she turned and saw who the voice belonged to; a young pretty lady who gestured an empty seat close to hers. Betty got to the seat and sat down. One thing lead to another, Betty and this lady whose name is Lina got talking about themselves and their personal lives. A look at them, one would think that they were best of friends. Lina ain't married yet. Her younger sister who stays with her attends the school. After the close of the meeting, Betty and Lina exchanged phone numbers. Betty was about to go in search for a cab but Lina told her not to that she should wait that her boyfriend will pick them up.

She waited and kept on conversing with her new found friend Lina. In a jiffy, a jeep came by their direction. Lina hurriedly came out of the shade they stood to welcome her boyfriend. Betty came out after Lina She couldn't believe who her eyes behold! Betty, meet my handsome boyfriend, Trust!! She was motionless, lost in thoughts.."My Husband"😨😨😨

Betty was lost in thoughts wondering what to do. Her husband is Lina's appraised boyfriend. What will you do if were in Betty's shoes? How would you handle this situation? Would you create a scene, yell or beat up someone? If the you were to do the latter, who would you beat up, your husband or your new found friend?
