Morocco Incites My Curiosity

The FIFA Worldcup makes me look into Morocco.

Morocco makes it to the semifinals of the 2022 FIFA Worldcup Football. I watched the highlights of their matches. Morocco has shown good defense and incidental attacks in their football playing.

Morocco's goalkeeper is now one of the best goalkeepers in FIFA 2022 matches.

Morocco reached the FIFA Worldcup football semifinals for the first time. They are the first African nation to achieve that. I wish that Morocco wins their semifinals against France.

Morocco is an exciting country.

Morocco is at the western end of the Maghreb region of North Africa. Morocco touches the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to its west.

I remember one story from the famous cartoon Tintin covers Morocco, and probably the commercial city Casablanca. In his journey, Tintin travels to Egypt via Morocco. The cartoon shows an interesting glimpse of Moroccan life.

I was unaware of Morocco other than the name and their football-playing image. I cherish the memories of reading the adventures of Tintin in English and translated versions.

Today, I sneaked a peak at a travel blogger's Moroccan visit.

Vloggers do a fantastic job of spreading the spirit of unity and diversity among global citizens. Their visit to different parts of the world gives glimpses into the lifestyle and culture of the people.

• When the video popped up in the Facebook feed, I searched and found the vlogger who is quite popular by the name "Nomadic Tour" in the vlogging arena.

• His Moroccan visit is quite informative and interesting. The spoken language is partly Hindi and English; we can also hear local languages spoken on the streets.

By the way, the date of publishing of the particular Moroccan visit was about six months ago. That means it was long ago when there were no guesses that Morocco might make a place in the 2022 FIFA Worldcup football.

• It is interesting to learn from the video that "Hind" is a very popular name in Morocco. And "Hind" in Morocco means India.

Historically, the people living on the eastern side of the old Sindh river used to be called the "Sindhu" because the people who explored India from outside could not pronounce "S." They mistakenly pronounced "H" in place of "S."

I wish Morocco prospers.

• I am eager to see Moroccan footballers showcase their skills in the 2022 FIFA Worldcup football semifinals.

• I earnestly wish that the Moroccan people prosper in their lives.

=> My best wishes to the Moroccan football team for the semifinal match.

Postscript

As of Dec 16, 2022, Morocco couldn't reach the final of the 2022 FIFA Worldcup, but they showed a courageous performance in the semifinal match.
