What is a "Learning Skill?"

Before telling about learning and the skill for doing it, let us read a short real-world story from the corporate world. It is widely known to most computer professionals.

The GNU/Linux was a threat to Microsoft's business. Microsoft's earlier CEO publicly called Linux a "cancer" for many years. But, the current Microsoft CEO said openly in his presentation slide, "Microsoft Loves Linux."

• Microsoft openly adopted Linux for their top-earning Azure Cloud business.

• What could be the reasons behind it?

Microsoft learned a lesson. Their management changed their longtime technology strategy to resist Linux and open-source software. Instead, they adopted Linux in their technology business.

Finally, the tech management of Microsoft accepted that Linux is the future.

It is proof that the present Microsoft CEO didn't stop learning.

• What truth does this business story point us to?

"Learning skill" is what everybody requires more than anything to excel in life, career, and business.

And, humans have got the inherent capability to learn many new subjects.

Humans have the capability to learn

All humans are not the same. Each human has got their individual traits. The noticeable common trait of humans is their capability to learn.

Haven't you noticed a baby's learning urge? It wishes to learn first by its mouth, then with its fingers. Glancing with inquisite eyes of a baby reminds that every human is eager to learn, learn, and learn.

Learning remains a basic instinct throughout human life. The urge may transform into undue curiosity in everything. Not to forget how much we humans like to explore other humans' lives, even the very private and personal things!

Learning gives humans the awareness and clarity

Humans get awareness about the world from its learning activities. If the daily learning activity of a baby is forcefully stopped, it will stop growing its common sense and intelligence.

Learning is the most important activity of human life. Even other members of the animal kingdom are also inherently curious about everything. haven't you noticed how a week-old puppy runs and looks around with its curious eyes?

Learning makes humans aware of the world. Everything surrounded will have no meaning unless humans continue to enrich their knowledge. The learning activities provide humans with a clarified view of the environment and the universe.

Learning helps humans navigate all life challenges

Life has got plenty of challenges. Humans need a lot of knowledge and skill to handle the complexities of life. How to acquire knowledge? Learning is the only way to gain knowledge.

Learning gives humans a lot of knowledge, and knowledge is power.

When humans have acquired knowledge, they are equipped with the power to face any challenge life offers. The situation is favorable if the challenges are already faced earlier. Humans need immense knowledge to tackle unforeseen challenges of life.

Learning empowers humans to shape the future

The history of human civilization is a reference source of knowledge. Humans have been carrying out plenty of learning experiments in the present. The ongoing studies are continually unfurling new knowledge.

The past learning remains as a reference literature. The present learning experiments are the active experiential knowledge that are progressively updated and upgraded. These remains as the power in the hands of the humans to shape the future.

Every now, there may come a new challenge. How can humans remain prepared? Knowledge can help here. Learning skills update and upgrade knowledge. The learned knowledge empowers humans to overcome new challenges and shape the future.

Bringing it altogether

All humans have many differences, but one common attribute. It is human's inherent learning capability.

• Learning is an essential activity of human life.

• Learning gives humans a lot of knowledge, and knowledge is power.

• Learning skills remain the power of humans to shape the future.

If you have the spirit of learning, nothing can stop you from achieving anything in the world. "Learning skill" is above anything that can change anything from bad to better.
