The Children's Books For Adults - Volume 1
Julie was peculiar in the different mannerisms she had but very kind never the less. Julie had never told CT her last name but on one particular day she asked CT to perform his gift on her. CT reluctantly pointed The Blade towards Julie's closed mind’s eye and she became aware. The thing CT did with The Blade, which he had never done to anyone else, was actually touch Julie's forehead.
CT had only experienced this himself once as a child when he had the bicycle accident. Right before The Blade touched the center of Julie's forehead CT said, what's your last name?
As CT's fingers touched the center of Julie's, forehead she said the word Speakmaster and she became just that. At that same moment CT realized Julie was the face he had seen when his own mind’s eye was opened as a child. The young woman that he saw during his bicycle accident was the face of Julie not the face of his mother.
All at once it seemed Julie Speakmaster was able to articulate anything on any subject matter they spoke. Her words of truth, honesty, and kindness seem to be like honey on silk. Julie’s words smoothly pour over whomever she was speaking to and the words would stick to them with purpose.
CT and Julie parted ways but he received a phone call from her exclaiming anyone she had talked to that day understood exactly what she was talking about.
CT then figured out Julie had absorbed some of his original gift or something was awaken which was already within her.
Along with the special qualities and personality Julie already possessed mixed with the energy CT had given her, she had become a “Master of Speech”. Julie had truly become “The Speakmaster”.
CT and Julie Speakmaster were able to communicate without speaking words. Even though CT was not mute he found little need for verbal communication. Julie became his mouthpiece when they interacted with others.
One wintery weekend CT and Julie had spent time in her town and were driving back to CT's home town when a deer cross their path causing Julie to flip her big red pickup truck on a patch of icy road.
The truck must have flipped 4 or 5 times before it rested in a ditch on its roof with the both of them knocked unconscious. CT and Julie's minds were so connected they awoke from their unconscious state at the exact same time. They were both disoriented to the same degree from the accident.
CT and Julie both heard a voice asking if they were okay but could not see the figure who was asking the question. There was ringing in both CT and Julie's ears and loud noises within their heads so they could not distinguish whether the voice was male or female. They could not even tell in what direction the voice was coming from at first. Everything was just very loud as if a television station was playing white noise on full blast.
The voice said wait a minute I will get you out of there, just give me a second. As the voice got closer to CT the person asked, are you okay? For some reason Julie noticed that the ground was still shaking even though the accident was clearly over.
Before CT could reply to the person speaking he inadvertently moved his right arm forward and extended The Blade accidentally touching the forehead of the person trying to save them.
At this moment the person fell back with great force unconscious for what felt like ages but was only about 5 to 6 seconds. Julie looking on asked CT what he had done. CT replied it was an accident. I didn't mean to touch him, assuming the person was a male. He said these words without opening his mouth.
When the person opened their eyes they could see the truck was now on fire. The voice replied again wait a second I will get you out. The ground shook again underneath Julie and CT still trapped in the turned over truck. Julie asked do you feel that. That's when the figure of a man came into full view of CT and Julie.
This man was enormous in size. His muscles were huge and bulging from his arms and legs. Even so CT thought the enormous man would not be strong enough to get them out of the crushed red pickup truck. At this moment and in an instance the man flipped the truck onto its four wheels and ripped CT's door completely off.
The huge colossus of a man picked CT up with one arm ran around to the other side of the truck and with the other arm tore Julie's door off. The man then grabbed Julie's seatbelt and pulled it completely out of the frame. He lifted Julie out of her seat and carried them both to safety.
When the calm finally hit the three of them CT asked the man's name. He replied, with a voice that actually shook the ground, “Ronin”. What the trio soon recognizes was CT never open his mouth but Ronin could clearly hear everything he said. Moreover, with all of the commotion and the incredible strength of their new hero CT amazingly suffered no broken bones.
Ronin asked CT without opening his mouth, what he had done. CT replied I don't know. Julie finally spoke to Ronin asking if he had a first or last name. It was unclear if Ronin was his first or last name. He replied no, for some reason it has always been just Ronin. I cannot remember who named me or even how I got so big and strong but here I am, Ronin said.
Julie spoke again saying whatever CT did to you also happen to me but whatever happened, Ronin, part of it was already within you. Something brought us together for a reason now we have to find out what the reason is.
Julie continued speaking; all of these incidents and situations cannot be just coincidence. I've never had that many friends and I've never met anyone like the two of you. Ronin chimed in saying I've been alone all of my life and no one wanted to know someone like me.
CT sat verbally quiets as there was no reason for him to speak out. His mind’s eye was absorbing every nuance of the conversation that was taking place.
Julie spoke out as to finish CT's thoughts by saying; I guess this is the beginning of a new journey for us all. This is a new beginning in which we will have to write the middle and the end the story. As the Speakmaster spoke out on the snowy knoll where they sat, the trio understood.
