Learn and Earn
If you were asked to give words that rhyme with "learn", I'm sure that one of the words you would mention would be "earn". But, beyond rhymes, the two words are more related.
According to the Oxford dictionary, the word "learn" is defined as;
"gaining or acquiring knowledge of or skill in (something) by study, experience, or being taught."
While "earn" is defined as:
"the act of obtaining something (money) in return for labour or services."
So how do these two words relate?
For you to earn something you must have merited it by providing something, be it your service, labour or knowledge. You can't just earn something for free.
Something given for free is called a gift. And even before a gift is even given you must meet a certain requirement before the giver deems you fit for such a gift.
For example, I would like to gift only 5 of my friends something. What would I do? Surely, I would give them on the scale of their closeness to me or on who needs the gift the most. So it means for something to be given to you; you need to meet a certain requirement.
Back to "earn", you only earn something after you provided service, labour or knowledge or when you completed a task set for you. But for you to provide service or labour or knowledge on certain matters you need to know how to provide that service or how to do what is required or have in-depth knowledge about the field.
Therefore, that is where learning comes in. You got to learn a skill before you can offer or provide service in that skill, without learning how something is done you can't do it.
According to the definition given by the Oxford dictionary, you can learn in three ways; by studying, through experience and by being taught. But you see learning, in reality, is actually the combination of three ways, for they are all interrelated.
For example, my learning of how to use read cash has been based on three ways of learning.
At first, I was taught how to use the platform by friends like @HappyBoy @Giddyboy @Gaftekloriginal and others. I learnt from them the important detail of this platform but not everything.
Somethings I now know was as a result of me studying how the site works by reading official articles about how the site works and other users' articles. But also I didn't learn everything by reading or studying I also learned some from trials (experience).
Imagine if I wasn't open to learning I wouldn't know about this platform, if I also didn't study the platform I wouldn't know the rules and how to use the platform effectively, and if I didn't give some things a trial I wouldn't know about some amazing features on this platform.
Now, it doesn't mean I have learnt everything about this wonderful platform even though I have spent more than 10 months here.
In life, learning is continuous. You continue to learn every day because we need learning to grow in whatever field or skills we have. Anybody who closes the door to learning closes the door to growth and also more earnings.
What you know is what makes people regard you.
A Professor is respected more than an Undergraduate because he or she has more knowledge or skill or experience than an undergraduate.
Look closely at people who work in a particular job for years and yet they don't get promoted or elevated to a better position. The reason for this is most likely such an individual has refused to upgrade what they know. They close the door to learning and this made them stagnant.
Saying no to learning new things or refreshing over old things is like saying no to earning. Your skill or knowledge or experience is what generates earnings and if you refuse to continue to learn then one day you would find yourself no longer relevant like a floppy disk!

That is a very nice comparison and connectivity.... Nice article... No doubt to earn (anything not only money) you will need to learn
