On the 11th of May, 2021; I got a notification on the app "YourQuote" inviting me to a rapid fire contest.

Ok before I go further. Well you might be wondering what "YourQuote" app is all about. The app is a platform for where you can write quotes and poems, it provides plethora of free pictures were you can write your quote or poem on it, it also provides writing prompt for different genres of writing.

Rapid fire contest is one of the types of writing prompts on the platform. Instead of normal prompts that you're allowed a free hand to write anything you think. Rapid fire contest restrict you to a certain pattern, and asking you to do specific things within that time frame. It is always interesting because it's a way of challenging you and bringing out the instantaneous creativity in you.

So back to my story. That day, I was asked to define "Freedom in a single line." I saw it and I decided to hop on it. It was kinda challenging, but after moment of thinking my thoughts produce something.

A screenshot of my quote on YourQuote

Then I defined Freedom "As an illusion that everyone seeks"

I doubt if there is anybody who hasn't wished to be free at one point of his or her live. Be it from a job or a boss, or from schooling or parents. Sometimes we say to ourselves that we want to be free like the birds in the sky

Why is freedom an illusion?

Freedom is a word that is often thrown around, but what does it really mean? For some, freedom might mean having the ability to do what they want, when they want. For others, it might mean having the freedom to be themselves without judgement.

Freedom is an important value to people. It is what drives us and motivates us to keep moving forward. But just like I said that Freedom can be an illusion, because it can be easy to forget that freedom comes with a responsibility to use it wisely.

While it's important to be free to make our own choices, it's also important to remember that freedom isn't always what it seems. Sometimes, we need to be careful not to take our freedom for granted.

It is important to remember that freedom isn't always what it seems. We often think of freedom as being able to do whatever we want, when we want. But in reality, freedom is an illusion. We are always limited by our circumstances, by what is possible and by what is allowed.

Think about it. We are limited by our physical abilities. We can't fly or swim underwater for miles. We are limited by our financial abilities. We can't afford to buy a mansion or travel the world. We are limited by our social abilities. We can't be best friends with everyone we meet.

Take for example, the freedom to vote. In some countries, people are free to vote. And in others, people are not. The freedom to vote is limited by the country you live in. And by the laws that are in place.

Or take the freedom to travel. In some countries, people are free to travel wherever they want. And in others, people are not. The freedom to travel is limited by the country you live in. And by the laws that are in place.

The bottom line is, freedom is an illusion. We are always limited by our circumstances, by what is possible and by what is allowed.

In conclusion

It's easy to think of freedom as something that is absolute and infinite and that is always available to us. But the truth is that freedom is always relative. We are always limited by our circumstances, by what is possible and by what is allowed. This can be frustrating, but it's also what makes life so interesting.

This doesn't mean that freedom isn't important. It is one of the most essential aspects of human existence. But it is important to remember that freedom is always constrained in some way. It's up to us to find ways to push against those constraints and to expand our sense of what is possible.

But that doesn't mean that we can't make choices and take actions that will bring us closer to our goals. It doesn't mean that we can't be free in our own way.

So remember, freedom isn't always what it seems. It can be an illusion. But that doesn't mean it isn't worth fighting for.

Freedom is indeed an illusion, an illusion to carry out your most wanted needs because of different circumstances which you have mentioned above. In order to be free we need a good strategy to help us achieve our aims. A remainder of what freedom entails.

I have always thought that freedom is mental. To have the mental control of not being a slave of anxieties, anxieties, sadness, that can chain us to a situation of stress or depression. I am not saying with this that we do not go through worries or tribulations because that is part of life, I only mean that if we can have mental control over those emotions and do not become slaves of them, there you can have freedom. Many people who have spent years in prison, taking away all their physical freedom, have mastered those emotions and lived the emotional freedom that made them keep their essence as a free human being. Your content is interesting. I liked it a lot.

Yeah right Freedom can be easily say but definitely hard to achieve and it's like an illusion that everyone seeks but everybody can't have it.

You're right freedom can be an illusion,it all depends on the way we put it,we should be free to make our choices and plans alone as its personal to us.
