My daddy my daddy! Today is not Father's day neither is it your birthday. I just choose to celebrate you today because you mean so much to me. You are a good example of a father. A father that loves his children. A father that thinks of the family first before himself. A father that trains his children with Love. A father that leads by example. There are so many things you have done for me secretly that I don't know but I only see the good results. Thank you daddy. Most times, when I am walking on the street from school, someone on the motorcycle will stop by me, mention your name and asks if I am your daughter. I say yes and they would give me a lift home. You never pampered my siblings and me. You satisfied us with what we need and not what we want.

Thanks for training me in the way of the Lord. You trained me so well and never condoned indiscipline. The training of courtesy and etiquette you gave me while I was young still acompany me today. I do them unconsciously because it has become part of my habit. My lecturers and teachers admire and love me for my good character. They know I'm from a good home because charity begins at home. They encourage me to keep it up.

You are lucky to have me as your daughter and I am privileged to have you as my father. Anytime we are going out, you tell us not to do what you would not do. I remember you once sold your car in order to pay my tertiary education school fees and feeding. I promise to take good care of you while you are still alive and not spend unnecessarily after your death.

There are so many things I learnt from your life. First, I learnt how to wake up on my own and pray without any pushing. Many times, I will see you in the middle of the night praying together with my mum. I know you must have prayed me into my mother's womb🤩.

Secondly, I learnt Love. You love my mum so much. You talk to her with so much respect as if she is your elder sister, even though you are older than her. Even if you have any disagreement with mum, you settle it without us knowing. Whenever mum offends you, she begs us to help her to plead with you and you forgive her immediately and everything moves on fine.

Another lesson I learnt from you is humility. Even though the Bible says the man is the head of the home, you are not too bossy and mum does not take that for granted. She respects you a lot and never disobeys your instructions. I pray to marry a man like you that will love me and take care of my children. I heard when I was young after my mum gave birth to me that I needed blood. We were the same blood group. The nurses hurt your skin and you donated your blood for me. Whenever I complain of any sickness, you take it serious. You pray for me and buy necessary drugs. Every Christmas season you take all of us to a popular market at Ibadan "gbagi" to buy clothes and other things we need. Thanks for all you have done, dad. I love you so much. Thank you sir.

You were my English teacher throughout my senior secondary school education. You studied English in the university without cheating. If you had cheated, you wouldn't have been able to teach me well and you have inculcated this character of integrity and honesty in me. @Seniorman once commented on my written English. Thank you daddy. Thank God I didn't have a stubborn heart to go against your trainings. Happy New month dad.
