Where's my success?

This is in response to the prompt of @JonicaBradley which I give thanks. For it gives me idea what to write and at the same time made me ponder of few things in life. Lead image from unsplash I've been thinking lately and ask myself, where's my success? Almost everybody got their own success but how about mine? It's been two years since I graduated my Bachelor's degree but then I couldn't seem to gasp the goal that I have been keeping in my list. I've been into different job but faith seems didn't side me. Three more months and I will be one year unemployed. I don't know where I have been. I don't seem to see myself to the place I have been expecting. To the place I can call success. **I search everywhere. In my bed, under it. In the cabinet, in the mirror, in the floor, in the kitchen and in every corner in the house. I even extend my searching in the neighborhood.** But then I see none. I feel tired and went into my favorite place, in the four corner of the small tight room. As I sit in that white shinny pot doing my routine every morning. I look behind, to search my success. Hoping that I could see it there. My eyes are teary, and I am about to cry as I see nothing in there. I close my eyes, palms in my face and started to ponder. From there I realized, it was just there, in every corner where I search it. My success was just lying there but I am just to blind to see it. **In my bed** In every sleep and every waking up is a success. I had trouble sleeping in the previous year but as this year started I could sleep without hard time doing so. Without fear and anxiety ruling in me. Isn't it success? And whenever I wake up, I woke up with good health. As this pandemic started never I haven't experience being sick, thanks God. Isn't it success? **Under the bed** Everything that I see under it are the things that I got to have in my college days. Boxes of papers, books, certificates, medals and trophies, and a lot of different stuff. It reminded me of a successful journey I had in the past. The passing of subject that the books represented, the successful thesis written in the papers. The certificate and medals that I've got to have every end of semester. The trophies of different contest and events. A lot more stuff from classmates, boardmates and friends which signifies the successful friendship. **In the cabinet** As I see my neat and beautifully filed up clothes, I realized it was a success. From the hard work of washing it to folding it in order for me to place it nicely in the cabinet it is indeed a success. Not that great though but it is counted. It needs hard work and patience especially in maintaining it to be in its order. Well, its a success for me. **In the mirror** I see myself. So different from the previous self that I viewed in the mirror. It's not the fat me anymore. It is a new fit and healthy me, which signifies the success of my weight loss journey. **In the floor** It wasn't there last year. The shiny floor that mom wax every other time. The floor that is no longer dirty and bumpy. It was a success that should be counted too. Right? Small success but with huge difference. **In the kitchen** The burnt and the delicious food that was cooked in there signifies success. The success of learning how to cook different food. The success of molding my hobby and serving it to different occasions in the family. Making it to the other house is much of of a success. Giving ad seeing the smiles that it carve in different faces is a success. **In the neighborhood** The friendship that I have built are success too. It may be not money, nor certificates or awards but it is more than that. The happiness and the bond it gives is like of a success receiving awards. Sometimes it's more than and beyond from that. It extend from the soul and the heart and feel like heaven. Oh! There you are. I see you now. The success that I have been searching for. The success that I thought I never had. The success that I did not realize. **Closing thought** I am now smiling sitting in the shinny pot. Realizing I am more than successful than I ever thought and listed in my notes. These was the success that is in between those goals listed. Unrealized and unpondered. It is a blissful success, that needed a long the journey of life. How about you are you searching your success somewhere? If yes then let me share this to you. I realized few things while looking back searching my success, as I feel so sluggish right now. I realize that **success is not necessarily to be great things you achieve just to be considered success. If you see that small act and things everyday it is also a success. They are bits of success that is necessary to complete the huge puzzle of success in the future. Without it, it couldn't be realize.** Thank you so much for reading.
