Me and the busy day

The day pass by so fast and today is Thursday. Another weekend is coming around and one week more February will end. The day seems in a hurry lately and I couldn't cope up with it. I wasn't able to write last Tuesday and yesterday because of a very busy day. For this article I would like to share to you what makes me busy for the past two days.

What did I do last Tuesday?

Last Tuesday, I work half day as requested because my boss' wife asked me to accompany her working student Angel to go to the market to buy some goods for the celebration of her father's 75th birthday. I said yes and we go to the market after lunch. Before we go to the market she asked me to prepare my things because she wanted me to go with them in their hometown. At first I was hesitant but I don't have the guts to say no. So, I agreed. We go to the market, and buy the things we need. We go back and forth just to find the needed ingredients for the birthday preparation.

After buying the things we needed we wait for the people that would pick us up for us to ride going to where the birthday would be celebrated. We go to Sogod terminal and wait there. I was tired and hungry running the errands so I eat some street foods. (Sorry if I don't have any photos to share, I was starving that I couldn't think of taking photos anymore.) While waiting, I attempted to open my Facebook account but I failed. The internet connection is very slow. So I decided to observe and look at the people around me just to buy some time and would not feel bored.

While looking around I see this two being lovey dovey. I feel iratated. Tssk it's pain in the eyes. I know I'm not bitter it's just that I don't want to see lovebirds anymore after my sore eyes seeing a lot of it on Facebook on valentine's day. After few hours, our wait was over.

We ride for one hour going to our destination and we eat our dinner at 8:00 pm already since we are the ones who prepared for it. We get to sleep late because we make some salad and other preparations for the next day celebration.

It's Wednesday!

Since the celebration is for dinner, we made the preparation the whole day. We do have companions in preparation and they hire for the decorations. We are assign in the kitchen. I run errands. And become assistant for cooking. And washing some dishes. After few hours we done preparing all the food.

It wasn't a lot since only family and close friends would be coming. It was prepared in the terrace and table was set up outside the house.

From 5 am to 5 pm we prepare the food without any problem and without a short of time and budget. The program started at 5:00 pm and ended at 8:00. We start cleaning at 8:30 and end 10:00 in the evening. It's very tiring, working non-stop. But it's all worth it. The celebrant was happy and we enjoy the celebration as well. With all the delicious food and the warm presence of the people in the house and the whole family. It warm my heart and work with happiness.

I know it wasn't part of my job anymore but I did not regretted to be there on that special day of a father who work hard for the family and was able to put all his kids in good state in life. Our effort was all worth it because he deserve it. I wish him more happy years in life.

Only few people nowadays could reach the age of seventies due to illness and any health issues. Yet, this man celebrate his 75th with good health. Kudos to you Tay and to your great faith to the Lord. You deserve it. My boss' wife is her first daughter and was the one who initiated the event together with the help of her sisters.

Looking at them made me wanting to strive to reach my dreams for me to spoiled my parents as well. For me to celebrate with them in such extra special ways. I believe all parents who work so much for the family deserve such treatment. Kudos to all parents out there. A job well done to all your kids.

Just a short sharing, we got home at 12 am last night since the family had a conversation after the visitors' gone. We need to go home since my boss' wife needed to work for the next day. I sleep at 1 am and wake at 6:00 am. I'm tired. Huhu
