June 20, 2021 third Sunday in the month of June. As promise of sharing to you the gospel every Sunday, as part of the challenge that I gave to my self and accepted it, here is the gospel yesterday.
Gospel, Mark 4:35-41 35
With the coming of evening that same day, he said to them, 'Let us cross over to the other side.' 36 And leaving the crowd behind they took him, just as he was, in the boat; and there were other boats with him. 37 Then it began to blow a great gale and the waves were breaking into the boat so that it was almost swamped. 38 But he was in the stern, his head on the cushion, asleep. 39 They woke him and said to him, 'Master, do you not care? We are lost!' And he woke up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, 'Quiet now! Be calm!' And the wind dropped, and there followed a great calm. 40 Then he said to them, 'Why are you so frightened? Have you still no faith?' 41 They were overcome with awe and said to one another, 'Who can this be? Even the wind and the sea obey him.'
Reflection
Another food for our soul that would replenish our energy to start off the week. Let's gear up and be prepared. This gospel talks about the storm that made the disciples worried and distracted that they forget that Jesus is with them. They are worried because the master is sleeping soundly without bothering the storms that hit them and might break the boat. They wake up the master and asked if He have no care at all. Then Jesus asked them if they have lost their faith and Why they are so worried? In response to what Jesus done of stopping the wind and the storm, they start questioning Jesus power of command.
We are like the disciples in this world that worried when the storm in our life comes forgetting that God is with us. Questioning God of why it happen to us and why of all people why us. Let us not forget that God is in control of everything, have faith to Him and calls Him whenever we struggle. Trust Him fully instead of questioning Him because He is the creator, the planner and the giver. As a creator He made the trials to remind us that He is in control and we must call Him. That we can do nothing without Him. As the planner, He made everything good for us. He design the problems for us to become stronger in life. When things are out of our control let's make His plan prevail. He is the greatest planner, make your plan according to His plan. Pray for your plan be bless and never trust your own will but the will of the Almighty Father. Pray to Him. Trust Him. As the giver of everything in us, especially life and all the blessings in it, let's not forget to thanks Him and praise for Him. Allow him to make you as His vessel and full you with His goodness.
Closing thought
Problem is inevitable in life. It is our constant reminder that we are not in control of everything. That we must trust God and calls for Him in times of difficulty. That problems is part in life that made us more stronger and appreciate life and it's goodness. Whatever we will encounter in this week let's not forget to call God through prayer. When it's hard to pray, then pray harder.
God bless and Have a blissful week everyone. π₯°

God will never test us with problems greater than us. They are temporary and all we can do is to fix our eyes to God and call on Him to help us in times of trouble. He is never tired but when we are so troubled and forget that God is there to help us, we won't find help. We should always remember to call on God in our prayers. Thanks for this thoughtful post.
