#6 was banned in 25 countries
There are films destined to be successful in cinemas, superheroes or comedies with famous people who are gold for the box office, but there are also others that reveal the darknest of the human being, the most depraved and crude of their nature. Many do not even make it to the movies because of the amount of violence or disruptive content they show.
However, they gain a status of "cult", with fans who run to buy them on the internet or who make their own projections. Not everyone can watch these movies without feeling like they are doing something they should not. There are 10 disrupting tapes that will traumatize you for life. You will not be the same after seeing #6.
1. Inside (2007)
Possibly one of the best horror films of the 2000s: blood great, great performances and great direction. But the most interesting is its disturbing history. A pregnant woman decides to spend Christmas alone at home in memory of her husband, who recently died in car accident. Everything seems normal until a stranger dressed in black appears at home with only one goal: steal your baby. Armed with a pair of scissors, this woman will do the impossible to fulfill her mission. Really a movie that is not easy to see.
2. Salo, or the 120 days in Sodom (1975)
It is a film so disturbing that is rumored that its director, the italian Pier Paolo Passolini, was killed by the government for doing it. Based on the book by El Marques de Sade, the film delivers everything that could be expected from it and more. There is no taboo that is not shown on the screen.
3. Antichrist (2009)
It's not the kind of movie you want to see before you sleep or when you're eating, or more than once. With scenes of real sex, death of babies, mutilations of genitals and a strange fox that speaks, Lars Von Triers bring us a work full of images that will be in our worst nightmares.
4. Neon Demon (2016)
This tape is full of beautiful images but very, very disturbing. A young girl goes to Los Angeles pursuing her dream of being a model. Sadly she discovers a world full of violence, pedophilia, cannibalism and even necrophilia. People vomited in the movie theater when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
5. Martyrs (2008)
French director Pascual Laugier managed to merge two films into one ang neither of them is for the weak. Before becoming bloody movie of revenge. It puts the concept of the martyrs of religion on its head.
6. A Serbian Film (2010)
An exploitation film that takes all perversions to another level. A former porn star is hired (forced) to go out in a final movie and will be forced to participate in events that will put his health at risk. We can not talk about exactly what happens in the film, but it was banned in more than 25 countries because of its sick and disturbing images. Some experts in psychology recommend never see this movie, it could cause trauma and in worst case, psychosis.
7. Requiem for a Dream (2000)
It is one of those films that do not age and that continue to have the same effect over time. Darren Aronofsky brings us a tape that reflects in the most crude way the addiction to drugs and its terrible consequences. It really puts things in perspective for some people.
8. Incendies (2010)
At the same time the least controversial tape on this list. It does not show great scenes of violence, but it does show the horrors of war in the Middle East. It take us by the hand to discover a terrible family secret that will simply impress all the spectators. Do not see her with mom.
9. Irreversible (2002)
It is an experimental film told backwards, with scenes of high physical violence using fire extinguishers. The most disturbing one involves the actress Monica Belluci like you've never seen her before, and believe us you will not enjoy it at all.
10. Funny Games (1997 and 2007)
The film was so extreme that only the director could do it again in its "American" version. An ordinary family is visited by a couple of crazy people who torture them and go very dark places. Even something happens in the middle of the film that plays with mind of the spectator, killing all hope of a happy ending. Either version is recommended, but the original is unsurpassed.
Will have to take out time to see some of them.
