They say laughter is the best medicine and when our elders say something, we usually tend to take it so easily and we realize its value only when we face the same situation they were in. We must understand that experience is the best teacher in the world. This is my personal experience that my grand Mom always insists me to keep smiling whether I have a reason or not. I used to ask her why I should laugh if I don’t have the reason for people only to think me as the permanent member of the rehab. I realized in this busy running life with all the hindrances to the good work, laughing has become an artificial and formal thing which must be a daily practice to us and which should happen naturally.
The saddest part here is, the activity which must happen to us naturally just like we breathe, sweat, pee or poop, is not happening. Because of this, some people, especially therapists and psychiatrists had found new opportunities in this world and had created something called “LAUGHING THERAPY AND EXERCISES” and making millions of money for themselves.
Well, I appreciate them at least they are giving something worth to human kind even if it is costly which is called “Laughter”. Laughter is a boom to human kind and the best medicine for all the issues in the world. Whether it is physical, emotional or whatever it is. Let us see why we need good laugh.
• Laughter is the best medicine for any kind of stress in this world. Work hard for hours and hours and just laugh for few minutes. You just forget all the hard work and mental pressure and feel to start fresh again with the same energy.
• Laughter releases the stress and rigidness of muscles allowing more oxygen to flow in and thus allowing the blood to flow freely. Laughter increases the glow of the face and that is why we look more beautiful while we laugh.
• Laughter and smile can win wars. Keep laughing and smiling and see yourself that you would never have any sort of enemies. Well friends, beware that if you do it sarcastically, this would reverse the situation Lol.
• Laughter gives you a recognition just like my grand Mom. She is famous among our relatives and several of the old grand pas still have a crush on her because of her smiling face.
• Laughter gives us peace. This is the best form of getting relaxed. Watch hilarious videos or movies when you are sad or broken. When you are done watching, you are again ready to conquer the world with a happy face.
• From laughing, you are not only helping yourselves but also others by making them laugh thus you have good deeds adding in your account.
• Are you thinking that you aren’t practicing any yoga or serious exercises as your friends are doing? Just keep laughing, you get more than what they get.
Now, We shall see how to laugh. Before that, you may ask me that there is always difference between doing it naturally and artificially. Well, I know my readers are so smart unlike me. But I have the answer for you. Human body is not designed to identify the difference between natural laugh and artificial. So you get the same benefits in both ways. Then, how do you think laughing therapy had become so famous and productive across the globe?. This Laughing therapy or exercises or yoga you can call it by anyway and be followed every day for some time say 15 minutes on an average to get its long term benefits. Now let us see some tips how to do it;
Note: Please remember that when we are happy, laughter comes effortlessly. So, this therapy helps us more and more in tougher times. So, I shall give you tips based on some negative times and situations.
Do we need to do anything before starting this exercise?
Lot of therapists say that you need to do some stretching and the laughter must be in a rhythm like for example as “ho ho ho ha ha ha” and saying so, start clapping your hands just the same way as a toddler does or like a person who has some serious mental illness. Imagine how they clap, fingers shouldn’t touch, your palms should touch each other and clap them according to the rhythm you say for five minutes.
For lookers, we may look like we have just escaped from a rehab and that’s why we are happily clapping. But for us, we are laughing on those people as we are getting more benefited and they are not. Attitude guys, keep it. So, what should be done after laughing according to the rhythm? Oh common, don’t even think and just burst out of laughter.
What?? Why are you looking at me like that? So, you don’t find reasons to laugh? Let me give you some tips.
Go to your table, take out your bills like credit cards, net bills and other bills, stare at the total of the bill for few seconds and start laughing as hard as you can.
Look at your mobile and read the message from your girl friend/boy friend. Did they say, “lets break up”?? Start laughing immediately.
Are your parents always fighting in the house? Stand in the middle of them and start pointing at them and laugh hilariously. And don’t forget to run from there ok?
Call your friends home and share your hilarious or embarrassing moments and secrets. Your friends know how to give you some laughter. That is why friends are.
You worry that you don’t have siblings? Just look at the neighbor siblings while they are fighting and burst out laughing that you don’t have one.
Be creative. And imagine if given chance what the most silly things you do in this world. Keep laughing all the time.
Are you at your work place? Call your colleagues to your desk for few minutes, show them your performance and laugh.
Manager called you to his room? Share the news with your colleagues, laugh for few minutes and go.
Explain the meeting to your friends during lunch and keep laughing while explaining (remember, these are the things that annoyed you the most previously) and now you are happily laughing at them.
Imagine you have global leaders joining today in the video conference and your car is stuck in traffic which seems it doesn’t move for two days. Now start laughing.
Keep unrelated toys at your desk and keep looking at them and laugh.
Did your girlfriend say she is not satisfied with you in bed, don’t even think start laughing.
Did you wet your pants or dress while laughing continuously? Look at those wet pants and laugh again.
Did you receive the government notice that you failed in driving license test? Laugh and laugh.
Well friends, these are some of the life’s sad situations we could face. But thanks to the laughing therapies and exercises, we could even laugh at these kind of tough situations. And you have a very important point to remember here. I gave the above situations to explain how to laugh in life’s most depressed times. That doesn’t mean you can take them as granted. This article is meant to teach you to laugh in all the time and along with the laughs, start the action plan immediately to find the solution or alternative. Because you laughed, your mind would come with the best plan for sure.
What if your mind doesn’t work and don’t give you the best plan?? Just Burst out laughing…..
