Surprise Hoomans! What will you do when you encounter this? Hehe. An old memory from my last village visit. Came to wash my legs and hands in the post evening in the river only to be welcomed by this fellow. Looks like it's on hunting. Was told by other villagers that this snake is found at the same spot every evening for a week waiting to catch fishes. This one is a non venomous one or else it wouldn't have been alive you know we humans think of our safety first, lol. My cousin was like get away from it, or it will run towards us, of course the distance was well maintained and it's a bit zoomed.

It is called 'daras' in our locality. Yeah, it's a non venomous snake. And it also called the friend of farmers in our country.

I would have touched it if it's a well trained and tamed snake. In the case of that one I will keep my distance.

It's non venomous, the villagers are experts to identify them based on their head. Though it looks like a cobra it isn't. Still a snake, hiss.

The place had a height diversion so to reach to us the snake had to climb and till then I am sure I would have ran out of its reach, hehe.

im scared of snake. but as much as possible i dont want to see a snake be killed, they have rights to live too
