I had some days away from everything and spent lots of time with the family and the pets and ate far too much food :D
And we have a new family member. He took too much of our time too, happy times though. Paws and fur so soft and his purrs so endearing 🤍

This was the window view from the east side of our hospital room. My husband's eye surgery was all done and we are home now. Our October schedule was moved to this month and so now he is over it and has been playing this song by Jimmy Cliff on loop :D

Our cats were having a big and serious discussion of I know not what. After much meowing they have settled the issue amicably....sort of :D
But I think those three, though compromises may have been made, were not that happy judging by their after-settlement look.

It was All Soul's Day yesterday and I picked some wildflowers at my neighbor's - thank you, neighbor :) - put it in a basket with ribbons and went to visit loved ones at the cemetery.
It's nice to go there when most people have done so already, nearing sunset. It was so peaceful plus the view was quite amazing. It's a little gloomy on the west side but the sun peeked a bit just for me. Thank you, sun :D

Rain or shine there will be treaters and no tricksters this Halloween which was yesterday :D
We received a letter from the Head Treater in our place that we will be doing it this year as safely for the children as we can so we unearthed leftover brown paper bags and ribbons from last Christmas, drawn some scary things into it, dumped the candies inside and tada! Instant scary Halloween bags :D
Unfortunately it rained still so the children were gathered instead into an open hall but they enjoyed it just the same. Turn out's a little small but maybe next year it won't rain that much.

There's a scheduled power outage today in our area but thankfully it was unscheduled for some reason so yay!
Anyway there's an unscheduled one last week that did happen and lasted more than eight hours and the emergency light up our wall looked like a sad Marvin the Martian way before the power went back on :D
It's still raining like crazy and the wind sometimes howls too. I pray for those affected by typhoon Paeng.
