Too Much www So Call me "weak minded" or whatever but I...Just...**Cannot Deal** with some of the negativity / BS in the online world. I require balance - positive space and real interactions to be my best self and live my best life. ๐Ÿ˜ Challenges over the past year have really shown the "best" & "worst" of people. In the United States Media & **Social Media** have (obviously) taken over most peoples spare time and in some cases I can actually SEE the mental damage to people I know. YIKES ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜จ After reading an article from the wonderful read-cash writer **@Sujana**. I decided to jot this down. I think many people are "addicted" to the internet - **whether it's porn, social media surfing, dating apps,** etc. It's really all the same - what effect do these activities have on a person's mental state? Do you get a **rush** for online attention, comments, likes, etc? OMG - You Really "like" me?๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ Of Course, Who Wouldn't? ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜ Are you **crushed** when the negative comments start? ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ Of Course, Who wants to read **MEAN comments**? My question is this - **WHO** are the people you interact with online? **Are they friends you actually know?** (or randoms you "met" online?) Would you **ACTUALLY care** what these people think if they were standing in front of you? (would you **even KNOW** what they look like or **IF** they are real people๐Ÿคฃ #catfish) **WHY does online activity take such a FRONT SEAT?** I have had many friends recently crushed from social media or dating apps to the point of mental collapse. 10 years ago you would have laughed hysterically at a negative stranger shouting mean things to you ๐Ÿง (or just walked away from them) **WHY is it so IMPACTFUL online?** Personally I have to have work / real life / online life balance I cannot spend all day on social media (maybe it's my location or circle of contacts, but I find it to be quite a **negative space** where I have to "cherry pick" content between terrible advertising and meanAF crap) You can have your social media time, web surfing time, app time, etc ****However- IMO Know When to Say WHEN ๐Ÿค“ (Same as any habit/activity)****๐Ÿค” **WHO wants to hangout with / date this?**) "thanks for letting me meet you so I can ****watch you**** play on your phone..."๐Ÿง it was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE๐Ÿคฃ ) ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜† If we get all of our "thrills" online (**whether positive or negative**) "I missed your first step, but I'm on level 14,237 on Candy Crush ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚" Seriously, What kind of life is that? Balance comes in many forms - **find your personal balance** **I wish some people would step back, take a beat and a breath and get some perspective - Life really can be amazing, don't miss it by constantly looking down** PS - Your online date is here, better hurry (don't be devastated if they are not "the one" ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ) **Take Time for Real Life, Cherish Your Loved Ones & Stay Sane & Healthy @ Read.Cash friends** โค๏ธ Photo Credits https://pixabay.com/photos/twitter-facebook-together-292988/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/woman-in-brown-shirt-holding-silver-iphone-6-5086631/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/2-girls-sitting-on-chair-4867670/ https://unsplash.com/photos/y1Xew8wWTnY https://unsplash.com/photos/JBghIzjbuLs https://unsplash.com/photos/U3C79SeHa7k https://pixabay.com/photos/despair-alone-being-alone-archetype-513528/ https://pixabay.com/photos/catfish-animal-fish-pond-swimming-1853610/ https://pixabay.com/photos/women-dating-app-phone-tinder-5818099/ https://pixabay.com/photos/woman-face-social-media-thoughts-1446557/

Hot Wallet vs Cold Wallet Well Hello read.cash Readers I am writing this because I kept getting prompted by read.cash to backup my wallet๐Ÿ˜ƒ (thank you @read.cash for reminding me of your "beta status" and helping me watch out for my few dollars of BitcoinCash on this platform๐Ÿ™‚) I appreciate that read.cash was transparent and prompted me to backup my earnings Now comes the question? How do I do that??? ๐Ÿ˜† I realize that I sound completely ignorant (which I admit I am) but I did some research and thought I'd post the results for those who may find themselves receiving the same reminders from read.cash. Hope this helps a bit ๐Ÿ™‚ So when I looked at wallets - there are MANY to choose from Of course there is the **read.cash wallet**, but when researching this is just a sample below of results when "googling" โฌ‡๏ธ crypto wallet โฌ‡๏ธ , AND I kept seeing the phrase **"hot wallet"** and **"cold wallet"** **WTH Does this mean?** ๐Ÿค” other wallets - Coinbase, Blockchain, Binance Chain, Paxful Wallet, Atomic Wallet, Robinhood Exodus, Electrum, Monero, Edge, Mycelium, GreenAddress, Lumi Wallet, Wallet, BRD, Paper Wallet, Bitcoin Armory - the choice is yours ๐Ÿค“ I was interested though, in the terms **"hot wallet"** and **"cold wallet"** A **"hot wallet"** is a wallet that is connected to the internet. This type of wallet allows you to store coins / tokens as well as conduct transactions and send / receive cryptocurrency. If you are going to be using your Bitcoin for payments or basic transactions it seems you need to have a hot wallet to accomplish this. It is considered less secure (obviously **anything** connected to the internet has possible security risks) However, most of my research claims that hot wallets are not unsafe, just more vulnerable. On the other side a **"cold wallet"** is completely offline. It is a physical cryptocurrency storage device that you keep and is not connected to the internet. (I was unable to find a "cold wallet" photo on Unsplash, but they look **KINDA** like a flash drive) This is supposed to be a most secure way to store crypto, but from my research it seems that taking funds in and out is a bit of a task. So, what will I (personally) do? I don't have a significant crypto investment at this point so I will be using a "hot wallet" then I will likely get a "cold wallet" later (once I have some money saved๐Ÿ˜‚ ) I am still learning and want to be able to see what transactions I can and cannot do. I am not giving anyone advice, just sharing what I learned so far. ๐Ÿค“ Cheers Thank for the photos https://pixabay.com/photos/banknote-coin-euro-cash-currency-1396351/ https://pixabay.com/photos/credit-squeeze-taxation-purse-tax-522549/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/photo-of-man-touching-his-head-3752834/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/person-holding-coin-1602726/ https://unsplash.com/photos/4_41-79dHvE

So Evolved, Yet So Basic Humans are AMAZING Humankind has advanced / evolved from our **humble beginnings** **to create art, discover science, advanced mechanics and technology in today's world** **Humans create fabulous architecture, cuisine and fashion** **We possess the capacity to think as great minds, and show tremendous love and kindness** **Humans all need "The Basics" - food, shelter and water** We identify with the same emotions - **happiness**๐Ÿ˜ƒ,ย **sadness**โ˜น๏ธ,ย **disgust**๐Ÿ˜–,ย **fear**๐Ÿ˜ฑ, **surprise**๐Ÿคฏ**,** andย **anger**๐Ÿ˜ค - **our environments and situations are the difference** During these difficult times, let's try as humans to not let basic negative emotions take over our mental state. I know **NOBODY is happy ALL THE TIME** (trust me, I'm NOT this guy โฌ‡๏ธ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ) I am seeing many friends and acquaintances dive down a dark hole lately. Some are lashing out with anger or withdrawing into other negative emotions. **It is difficult for all of us and obviously everyone's situation is unique.** I wrote this to say - **We are ALL Basic Human Beings** Let's try to remember how very far we have come, and how much further we can go. Our ancestors persevered under extremely harsh circumstances that we will likely never experience (after all, EVERYONE here has internet ๐Ÿค“) Let's try to keep our heads up, help out our fellow friends and become our best and most content selves - Just a thought for today Another thought - Can we ALL Agree, this food looks **AMAZING**โฌ‡๏ธ ? **AND WHY ARE CLOWNS SO CREEPY?** ๐Ÿคก๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿคก (Seriously, it took me like 5 minutes to find a non creepy clown pic๐Ÿ˜‚ ) The Dino Thank You for the photos https://pixabay.com/photos/align-fingers-index-fingers-hands-71282/ https://pixabay.com/photos/statuette-clown-ballons-colorful-639334/ https://unsplash.com/photos/IGfIGP5ONV0 https://unsplash.com/photos/kiq2TSTeH0o https://www.pexels.com/photo/collage-of-portraits-of-cheerful-woman-3807758/ https://pixabay.com/photos/brothers-siblings-newborn-457237/ https://pixabay.com/photos/peru-woman-old-market-street-641632/ https://pixabay.com/photos/kids-boy-glasses-spectacles-cute-1508121/ https://unsplash.com/photos/KxCJXXGsv9I https://unsplash.com/photos/eqW1MPinEV4 https://unsplash.com/photos/CCx6Fz_CmOI https://unsplash.com/photos/tiWcNvpQF4E https://pixabay.com/photos/pizza-vegetables-toppings-346985/ https://pixabay.com/photos/food-dishes-meal-cuisine-soup-366875/ https://pixabay.com/photos/pizza-food-italian-baked-cheese-3007395/ https://pixabay.com/photos/mosaic-fish-tile-art-ceramic-200864/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/interior-design-of-a-building-3697742/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/assorted-print-painting-lot-2123337/ https://pixabay.com/photos/neanderthal-stone-age-caveman-4731920/

Random Question What are the 5 Best Traits of Humankind? What are the 5 Worst? Thank you for your feedback

@TheDINO

Around the World Dating + Earning Male / Female I have been thinking about this topic for years and I am probably only being this honest about it because I am "braver" on the internet than in person (yes, shocking I know ๐Ÿ˜‚) So the question is this **Can most relationships make it if the woman makes more money or has more financial earning potential than a man / male partner? (not a "sugar mama" relationship either, btw** ๐Ÿคฃ**)** I am a woman and have made a decent income but also been dead broke so I try to see both sides because we all know life can be **very unpredictable** ๐Ÿ™ƒ On my last 2 relationships, my BFs made less money than I did (by ALOT both times). I don't usually ask about a person's financial status so I did not really know what either of these men made until we had been dating for a while. Then what do you say to a person? "Oh you make THAT much" "bye bye" I am in the USA so I feel like there is pressure on men to be higher income earners. Both times in my case the guys **love it - then resent it** Example: One of my work friends took me and my ex BF out to dinner for my birthday (fancy pants restaurant, super pricey / expensive) . My EX BF **wanted to impress** the table so he **"grabs the check from my work friend"** **TRIED to pay**, then had to **ask me for money** when he saw the bill (my work friend paid it but - **AWKWARD ๐Ÿ˜ณ MOMENT**) Then afterwards my EX BF was irritated with the entire evening, like "that place was too expensive" complaining etc etc **WTH!?!?** We were guests - NOBODY asked him to try and loo like a "bigshot" and pay the bill - especially when he KNOWS he has a low paying job. Personally I am fine to take care of myself as I have been doing my entire adult life and I can support my lifestyle I am trying to understand if this is a fundamental Man / Woman thing - or just the last couple of men I dated. I feel like a "relationship" takes teamwork and both partners living up to (or trying to) their best potential as human beings (that is not always financial) and we are supposed to **help each other.** **However, If we are going to compete - please tell me now so I can lace up my shoes and run faster** ๐Ÿ˜˜ TY for photos https://pixabay.com/photos/people-man-woman-holding-hands-2561053/ https://pixabay.com/photos/money-rich-the-success-of-the-837383/ https://pixabay.com/photos/arm-wrestling-indian-wrestling-567950/ https://pixabay.com/photos/woman-adult-people-money-3261425/ https://pixabay.com/photos/girl-mud-run-slope-help-challenge-1186895/ https://pixabay.com/photos/mentor-help-climbing-hand-3610255/

BF + Video Games + No Job = :( Let me start here - I โค๏ธ Video Games Obviously I am "old school" so I **Totally Remember** this guy โฌ‡๏ธ and **TRUST ME** I would eagerly give away all my quarters (even today I still play at local bars and gaming lounges etcetera) ๐Ÿคฉโฌ‡๏ธ - **GAME OVER**? ๐Ÿฅบ Nooo... So PLEASE do not take this as an anti-gamers **Rant** I think video games are a great way to spend free time as an adult or child. They can offer escape and engage the mind while many games use logic and reasoning skills. I'm sure there is also something to be said about the coordination it takes but that depends on the game and set up of course. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ™‚ Ok, so back to my **(not) rant haha**. I have asked my female friends about this issue (ranging in ages from about 26 year old females to women in their 40s+) and there is definitely a theme here (or ALL my friends are ๐Ÿ˜ต๐Ÿ˜ต and we need a bootcamp in how to choose better men / mates / whatever ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ or a combo ๐Ÿ˜‚) I have dated a few guys that play or even consider themselves hardcore **gamers**. Again, **NO problem** with gaming in general. I feel that as long as you are an adult that takes care of their responsibilities (like, feed your kid, pay your bills, take care of YOURSELF, feed yourself, the basic of adulthood - I'm sure you understand) Then your time is **YOUR TIME** - **do what you want to do**. (I personally can't talk, I waste time everyday and watch old movies way more than I care to admit, but again I take care of my responsibilities - isn't that what grownups are supposed to do ? ๐Ÿค” ) So, **I am NOT the judge of your free time** **What I totally do not get is these guys that game all day and do not have a job - WTF???** I dated a guy (recently I am ๐Ÿคซ embarrassed to say) that would - **no exaggeration** - get up at about 11am, then eat and play until maybe 2am or 3am **every day** **Did he have a job? One guess - er, no** (but he loved to whine about how life was so hard and he couldn't find work) So I just have to post here. **When did it become ok (socially acceptable) for Men to loaf around and game all day and not work?** I think this same guy would have been ashamed to be so lazy back in the 80s or maybe even 90s but since then perception has shifted. **Many** of the women I spoke to have either experienced a similar issue or has a close GF living in a similar situation. Like one of my GF's has a guy who works part time or odd jobs but games way more than he looks for work or helps around the house (I'm sure his thumbs are so tired๐Ÿ˜†). WHF is going on? Again, I ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ games also - But **after work** After all, Somebody has to pay the dang **wifi bill** ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Ladies, please comment if you have similar stories or GF who "feel the pain" Ha. I'm in the United States, but curious if this is a "thing" in other parts of the world. Find YOUR Happy Place ๐Ÿฅฐ I have been reminding myself to find my "happy place" more often since Corona decided to knock on the world's door. **I think many people say "I want to be happy" but don't really know what that means** For me happiness can be found in everything - I remind myself of blessings and things I should be grateful for daily - otherwise I can easily forget and tumble down into a negative space. ๐Ÿคช As an example, my friend came to visit me last week with social distancing. I had not seen her in months as she is one of my friends who is NOT seeing people or going out during this pandemic. I sprayed disinfectant on everything and wiped down my bathroom and kitchen with bleach, just to be on the safe side. I disinfected my house more than usual to make sure she was comfortable. The Point? I could have EASILY been complaining about the extra cleaning and sitting outside in the hot weather ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜“๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜“ I CHOOSE, However, to be Grateful that someone loves me enough to come see me ๐Ÿ˜ during a worldwide pandemic AND happy to see my friend's face (even in a mask ๐Ÿ˜ท) Take time out - seriously - and look around at YOUR reality Do you have food ๐Ÿž and shelter ๐Ÿ ? Does someone or ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿฑ ๐Ÿญ ๐Ÿน ๐Ÿฐ ๐Ÿธ something โค๏ธ love you ๐Ÿ˜ ? Do you have a wonderful family ๐Ÿ‘ช or friends ๐Ÿ‘ซ๐Ÿฝ you consider "family" ? Are you happy with your life in general ๐ŸŒผ? **It's so easy to take things for granted - until they are gone.** Take a moment to reflect and truly see the positive aspects of your life. Lockdown has been stressful to be sure, but I am still "vertical" the sun ๐ŸŒž is shining and I have a roof so I'll keep smiling today ๐Ÿ˜Š smell whatever roses you have, they won't be in bloom forever **๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒธ**๐ŸŒน๐Ÿต๏ธ**๐ŸŒท๐Ÿ’** โ˜ฎ๏ธโค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜Š TY for the photos https://unsplash.com/photos/AIj_rVkKd9k https://pixabay.com/photos/woman-hat-rose-fragrance-smell-4327323/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/close-up-photography-of-woman-smelling-pink-rose-1170654/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/photo-of-woman-smelling-red-flowers-2734301/

Friendship during THE PANDEMIC Location Major City USA I have been thinking of how to write this down for months๐Ÿค” I am NOT trying to offend or judge Anyone. **Everyone is responsible for their own health and lives** imho. We are ALL adult humans and have to accept our own consequences - whether they be excellent or detrimental. I am sure that everyone here has friends and family that range on the "pandemic spectrum". **No Big Deal Friends** I personally have some friends that have adopted the "don't believe I can get it" "it's a hoax" mentality. The people I know that feel this way range from older conservative people (like almost 70 years old) to younger friends (people on their late 20s and 30s mostly) who are very easygoing with their lifestyles (going to bars and camping trips and associating with strangers) They all have different reasons for feeling the way they feel I live in the USA so obviously there are people who choose their protocols based on our political leadership . I KIND of understand this logic and I also know that some people feel better when following authority or have guidance. I personally don't agree (sorry I HAVE to interject here - but unless you are going to come feed me soup in bed and pay my medical bills, I will make my own health decisions and try to be safest for my life and household, lol. I'm NOT political, but I AM an Adult ๐Ÿค“ We all will die - I just don't want to be foolish about it) Other people (I really think) **REALLY CANNOT** wrap their head around this situation and just do the Ostrich "head in the sand" approach or try to "wish it away" or hide from the virus Some other people think it's all "fake" because know one "they know" has gotten sick or died and / or it just has not **effected them personally** **Don't Touch Me Friends** On the other end of the spectrum, I have one friend who has seen almost **NO ONE** since April. They stay home, get everything delivered, then spray with disinfectant and bring into the house after 15 minutes. One of my other friends will only see me from **6 feet away** and only if we are **outside** in the sun. (pretty safe protocols - your choice, I really do "get it")๐Ÿ˜ท Again the reasons vary - One of my friends lost a brother early to the pandemic (30s age range) Who can **possibly** blame someone after such a loss? ๐Ÿ˜ข Another friend worries about being a "spreader" which I think is an admirable stance (especially during these tough times, nice to see people thinking of others and themselves)โค๏ธ Another friend knows they have underlying possible health issues that could lead to complications if they contract the virus or get ill. I understand that as well - We never know what another person's underlying health issues are or what they may be pre disposed to contracting. Health is a PERSONAL choice and there are way to many variables to have a "perfect" equation for good health. โš•๏ธ๐Ÿค’โš•๏ธ **Middle of the Road - "At That Time" Situational Logic** I live here in the middle personally - I'm definitely NOT going to large gatherings and limiting long exposure to strangers (and their air/breath) when possible. I also wear a mask when shopping or around other people in indoor common areas. I workout outside and try to respect other people's space. I personally have had to make "judgement calls" Like - CRAP, we need milk so now I have to go to the store this week etc etc . This is why I say "at that time" because had I known I would have planned differently, but I'm also not going to not drink milk for a week. Life is fluid and changes constantly. As adults we should know by know (Especially NOW) that we are not in control of everything. We need to be able to stay as safe as possible and make the best decisions for each situation "at that time" ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค“ **Not Judging - This is just where I live for now and IT WILL CHANGE (If I go outside and Everyone is** ๐Ÿคง **SNEEZING & COUGHING - I will Shut the Door๐Ÿ˜ณ FAST)** **Social Adjustments** I wrote this just to get my thoughts out and also gain others perspective. I truly think that **Quality of Life** is most important ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค— That means **completely different** things for each person (I need peace, calm and quiet๐Ÿ˜ personally) Others need family or to be with their ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ children to be truly happy. Some people find joy with work, networking and socializing during activities and hobbies. *random emoji alert ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿท๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ„โ€โ™‚๏ธ ๐Ÿ’ ๐Ÿ’ผ๐Ÿ‘—๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ‚ **There is no "formula" for Quality of Life as the recipe is different for Everyone & Seasoned to Your personal taste buds** ๐Ÿค— Within my circles of friends I am seeing some of those in isolation that are really struggling with loneliness and isolation. Others are living in a constant state of **"red line" fear and always on the edge**. Some others are ostracized from family members for not being "safe enough" and others "too safe" I live in the United States and the division is terrible - some people are angry if you wear a mask - Again - **I "get it"** - If I had walked into your store 11 months ago wearing a mask you may have thought **"robbery in progress"** ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ **Yet** - Other cities (we have no clear direction here from state to state or even city to city) have a **"mask mandate"** and you have to wear it **Why do people have such intense anger?** ๐Ÿคฌ **We are ALL a bit scared and nervous - let's not lash out at each other** I personally think this thing is going to be around for a while (if not forever). I truly hope that we can learn to adjust and live again in the near future. **Dating** **Friendships** These relationships will all require adjustments - more now than ever Either way - **Enjoy your best life and "Quality of Life" now and in the future. Try to be patient with all of your friends and family - we are all trying to live our lives as best we can.** Stay Safe โค๏ธ ๐Ÿงก ๐Ÿ’› ๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿ’œ ๐Ÿ–ค ๐Ÿค ๐ŸคŽ Thank you for the Photos! https://pixabay.com/photos/chicago-usa-america-united-states-690364/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/hands-with-latex-gloves-holding-a-globe-with-a-face-mask-4167544/ https://pixabay.com/photos/heart-shape-tree-red-outdoors-1714807/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/man-and-woman-sitting-on-gray-concrete-pavement-4877851/ https://pixabay.com/photos/head-stuck-in-the-sand-3510206/ https://pixabay.com/photos/keep-out-sign-warning-danger-stay-4845935/ https://pixabay.com/photos/desert-turtle-snapping-turtle-desert-4814628/ https://pixabay.com/photos/bells-noise-crash-three-monkeys-2651369/ https://pixabay.com/photos/corona-coronavirus-mask-protection-4970836/ https://pixabay.com/photos/surgery-surgeons-operation-medical-880584/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/woman-in-yellow-tshirt-and-beige-jacket-holding-a-fruit-stand-3962285/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/woman-in-green-and-white-stripe-shirt-covering-her-face-with-white-mask-3991311/ https://pixabay.com/photos/concert-confetti-party-event-club-2527495/ https://pixabay.com/photos/lotus-natural-water-meditation-zen-1205631/ https://pixabay.com/photos/burglar-burglary-surveillance-camera-4194213/ https://pixabay.com/photos/corona-world-mask-virus-disease-4912807/ https://pixabay.com/photos/ball-stress-ball-emotion-angry-5586847/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/man-in-face-mask-kissing-hand-3951883/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/man-and-woman-drinking-milkshake-3951878/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/people-wearing-diy-masks-3951628/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/people-wearing-diy-masks-3951628/ https://pixabay.com/photos/girls-children-tulips-netherlands-739071/ https://pixabay.com/photos/respiratory-protection-mask-5038626/

Are your friendships and relationships suffering due to the pandemic?

@TheDINO

Goodbye Mom, You were my 1st Hero I will never be able to fully understand your struggle - When I was young, you were so amazing. **You were like a "rock star" to me - Beautiful, Fabulous & Flawless** ๐Ÿคฉ You always had the ability to handle life and all that came your way so very easily, I only realized later that you had your own struggles and it just **seemed** that way. You were a small town girl with little education looking for a better life. You were so brave to leave the safety and familiarity of home to venture out into the world towards a brighter future. I never knew how much you had to endure and sacrifice to give me a wonderful life that I certainly took for granted. ๐Ÿฅฐ When I was young girl, you sheltered me and kept me safe from harm. I rarely felt scared and I always knew you would fight to the end to protect me. That sense of safety and assurance made me the woman I am today (It's truly amazing how stability can calm the mind and soul and shape our lives) โค๏ธ ๐Ÿงก ๐Ÿ’› ๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿ’™ ๐Ÿ’œ As a young adult we had our occasional disagreements, but I never lost respect for you. We may not always have the same approach, but I deferred to your wisdom on many occasions (even if I did not always immediately admit it to you or myself).๐Ÿค” Now I see that maybe I don't know everything - my regret is that we can't have new conversations, debates or even disagreements. Your wisdom is now only in my mind. โค๏ธ **You are gone and that is a "period" not a "comma" it's the end.** ๐Ÿ˜ฅ I write this for both of us. Know that I think you were an AMAZING Mother and person. Thank You, thank you for giving me so very much. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ **You accomplished so much, loved and lived life** - **Rest in PEACE & LOVE - I will always love and respect you** โค๏ธ **PHOTO CREDIT TY** https://pixabay.com/photos/family-mom-and-daughter-baby-girl-1848957/ https://pixabay.com/photos/hands-old-old-age-elderly-2906458/ https://pixabay.com/photos/girl-mother-daughter-mum-people-2480361/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/pensive-grandmother-with-granddaughter-having-interesting-conversation-while-cooking-together-in-light-modern-kitchen-3768146/ https://pixabay.com/photos/mothers-child-mummy-lovely-family-3389671/ https://unsplash.com/photos/dE6c9RZoyL8 https://unsplash.com/photos/L6ymjrfk7lI

CASH vs Credit Card Payments Hello to Everyone on readcash I am a Generation X person and I have to say that when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s CASH was KING. You always wanted to have at least $20 on your person if possible - (I'd love more, but no winning lotto tickets for me yet๐Ÿ˜Ž) It did not matter What the Situation was. Do you need a cab at 3AM? (obviously not a big deal now with rideshare, ha) Are you starving for a pizza or hamburger? Do you need to "nicely" ask the tow truck driver to NOT tow your car, lol? It Always helped to have cash on hand and Everyone was Happy to take it ๐Ÿ˜Š My my my how things have CHANGED ๐Ÿคฃ I took a rideshare a few months ago and the fare was about $15. I did not have change so I handed the guy a $5 (a bigger tip than I normally would do on $15 but I did not have a smaller bill in my bag) Now - please let me make a note here - I worked in "service industry" for years (for people who are not familiar - this is waiters, bartenders, etc) and I ALWAYS wanted cash. I LOVED getting cash tips and I felt much more accomplished with cash than a credit card tip (plus it was in MY POCKET - immediately๐Ÿ˜) Ok, so I give this guy the $5 and he looked at me like "ewww" (another note - this was PRE Covid) and said - "I HATE cash, it's too hard to count. Can't you just leave it on the app?" ๐Ÿคฆ When did people become too LAZY to count Their MONEY ? **๐Ÿ’ฐ** https://emojipedia.org/money-bag/ Honestly this Totally blew my mind. I realize that payment dynamics have shifted over the past 20 years to credit card payments being the preferred form of payment, but do younger people NOT realize that THEY PAY the fees associated with those payments? I understand the Paypal / Venmo / CashApp appeal - it has free options and is pretty much instantaneous. If you run any type of business though, do people NOT realize that they are paying fees (I've seen up to 4%)? Also, merchants pay those fees as well and those can really add up. Have we been conditioned to make Banks Rich and "Shun" cash as undesirable? My MAGIC 8 BALL says "perhaps" ๐Ÿค” Oh and by the way - ANY people who are so tired of counting their cash - email me, I can count JUST FINE ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜‚ Photo Credits https://pixabay.com/users/techphotogal-1739491/ https://pixabay.com/photos/euro-bank-notes-handshake-1144835/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/hands-holding-a-10-dollar-bill-4968382/ https://www.pexels.com/photo/man-in-black-suit-holding-banknotes-and-credit-card-3831185/

Saying "Good Morning" to a Stanger or Neighbor An observation from Gen X POV I usually go for my morning workout at the park at 7am - a time when the sun is just coming up and people are jogging, walking dogs or just getting outside to get some fresh air. I want to set the proper tone here - at this time in the morning there is less traffic of all types (cyclists, pedestrians, etc) - Therefore when you pass a person, you are likely to make eye contact or have some type of interaction vs a typical "busy" time when the park is packed. I'm an 80's Kid (I get that we all grew up differently) - but I was TOTALLY in trouble if I did not "speak" to other humans or acknowledge their presence - Especially in the Morning. I was raised to say "Good Morning" or similar salutation when coming across another individual first thing in the morning. Obviously as I write this post - this is a practice I still do to this day (pre- Covid breath, ha). It is nice to start my day off in a positive manner and I enjoy saying "hello" to my fellow humans. I have 2 observations and would like to know your thoughts as well First one is - people in certain demographic regions (think "NYC Manhattan vs. San Antonio TX ) have Totally different reactions to strangers addressing them. I learned this the first time I drove from California to New York (United States). Seriously, just getting gas was vastly different as I drove from a West Coast City - Through the South - to an East Coast City. I do think a certain level of general "friendly hospitality" does exist in smaller/rural areas, I mean - you PROBABLY know that person (or their Mom, cousin, etc) And in a Major City it's just not practical to yell "GOOD MORNING" to 1000 people on the street. I usually say "Good Morning/Hi" when there is light traffic and I make eye contact with another human. Is this an "Old School" Habit? (hmmm) Second - I live in a populated city made up of various demographics - Is "No Eye Contact" a new (younger adult) thing? Most - again I know this changes depending on Where you are and Who you are dealing with - people I encounter in their 20s don't even make eye contact. Usually eyes are on a phone/device or "straight stare" with no peripheral interference . Usually the park has everything from "hard core" athletes to "Moms with strollers" and everything in between so it's a decent case study environment I get it - We ALL have crap on our minds and NOBODY Owes me a "Hello" LMAO My personal thought though is - I'm not going to look RIGHT at a person and not acknowledge them - it seems so... Rude Is my thinking typical Gen X? I Love seeing the faces of my fellow neighbors and usually a quick "Good Morning" is met with the same or better yet - a BIG SMILE - #WORTHit Either way, I hate that communication is so impersonal and I wish people would consider reinstating basic human manners - I don't communicate only via Emoji Thanks for the look and I'll end with - "Hi :) Have a Wonderful Day" Thank you for the Photos https://www.pexels.com/@fecundap6 https://www.pexels.com/@ece-ak-1635690

Hello Gen X Female looking for a creative outlet as a cheap form of therapy

@TheDINO

But He's a Nice Guy Ok Ladies, thoughts for women from old lady Dino I am just wondering if I'm the only one feeling like this and or getting this kind of crazy advice from friends and family members. I just ended a (way too) long relationship that I always knew was not a good fit for me - why did I take so long to end it? Other than the obvious reasons of 1. Being a coward 2. Avoiding confrontational situations 3. ONE of us has gotta move now? (YOU can GO - who gets the pets?) A primary (embarrassingly enough) reason I personally avoided the inevitable end was the commentary I KNEW was coming from friends, family and coworkers. You guys broke up? He's such a **NICE Guy**! I'm not trying to make any arguments for leaving or staying in a relationship. That is totally a personal decision that has way to many variables. **I'm just wondering WHY do Guys get a "gold star" for being a "nice guy" ?** I TOTALLY "heart" good people (it's not a gender thing, be a person) But sorry, I don't owe you 10-20 years because you are not an axe murderer. I ask this question/created this post because I have many friends who are with men who they are completely INCOMPATABLE with or have zero ambition/don't work etc (Seriously I have one girlfriend who leaves so many post it notes ("reminders" to her BF - HA) ALL over the house you think it's a Garage Sale when you go to her apartment - WTF? Another had a BF who plays video games - No joke - for like 10 hours a day and another whose BF throws temper tantrums like he's 5 years old, stomps his feet all Rumpelstiltskin style and everything (no joke) - it would be funny AF if she did not live with him. I know this a total rant but since Covid lockdowns I just hear this story over and over again and I wondered - Am I the only one who feels this way? **You ARE a Nice Guy - Just Not the Guy for Me** PS - I'm not a Man but from my personal experience/conversation I think Men get a similar response but more related to aesthetics - Example - You broke up?? "She's so HOT though" (Ummm, yeah - too bad she lit my car on fire last week) I'm really curious if Men feel this way too (IE - stay with a terrible person WAY too long due to pressure from social circles, family etc) RANT Rant rant ant....๐Ÿ˜œ Thank you for the Photo https://unsplash.com/@ryanquintal
