No, they are not. The few friends I have all live in different countries, all over the world. Our friendship is mainly based on an internet connection and if we meet in person it's once or twice a year. Except for my children, I have no family and there's only one child I am worried about I might not see again this year or next year or... Daily contact doesn't make that feeling better.
To a small extent, yes. But A lot of my friends are international so my method of communication was the same as it was before the pandemic.
