So Call me "weak minded" or whatever but I...Just...**Cannot Deal** with some of the negativity / BS in the online world. I require balance - positive space and real interactions to be my best self and live my best life. π Challenges over the past year have really shown the "best" & "worst" of people. In the United States Media & **Social Media** have (obviously) taken over most peoples spare time and in some cases I can actually SEE the mental damage to people I know. YIKES π¨π¨π¨ After reading an article from the wonderful read-cash writer **@Sujana**. I decided to jot this down. I think many people are "addicted" to the internet - **whether it's porn, social media surfing, dating apps,** etc. It's really all the same - what effect do these activities have on a person's mental state?
Do you get a **rush** for online attention, comments, likes, etc? OMG - You Really "like" me?π₯°π₯° Of Course, Who Wouldn't? π€π Are you **crushed** when the negative comments start? ππ Of Course, Who wants to read **MEAN comments**? My question is this - **WHO** are the people you interact with online? **Are they friends you actually know?** (or randoms you "met" online?) Would you **ACTUALLY care** what these people think if they were standing in front of you? (would you **even KNOW** what they look like or **IF** they are real peopleπ€£ #catfish)
**WHY does online activity take such a FRONT SEAT?** I have had many friends recently crushed from social media or dating apps to the point of mental collapse. 10 years ago you would have laughed hysterically at a negative stranger shouting mean things to you π§ (or just walked away from them) **WHY is it so IMPACTFUL online?**
Personally I have to have work / real life / online life balance I cannot spend all day on social media (maybe it's my location or circle of contacts, but I find it to be quite a **negative space** where I have to "cherry pick" content between terrible advertising and meanAF crap)
You can have your social media time, web surfing time, app time, etc ****However- IMO Know When to Say WHEN π€ (Same as any habit/activity)****π€ **WHO wants to hangout with / date this?**) "thanks for letting me meet you so I can ****watch you**** play on your phone..."π§ it was an AMAZING EXPERIENCEπ€£ ) ππππππππππππππ
If we get all of our "thrills" online (**whether positive or negative**) "I missed your first step, but I'm on level 14,237 on Candy Crush ππ"
Seriously, What kind of life is that? Balance comes in many forms - **find your personal balance**
**I wish some people would step back, take a beat and a breath and get some perspective - Life really can be amazing, don't miss it by constantly looking down**
PS - Your online date is here, better hurry (don't be devastated if they are not "the one" π€£π€£)

Let me give you an advice: delete every online apps from your phone, disable the wifi, and block internet access on your phone alltogether. For me, the online world starts when i sit down to my chair in front of the computer. And ends when i stand up from my desk. The online life cant consume the real life. I dont even have internet on my phone.
That gets the job done π€ #goodadvice
