19th July 2021 2202 How are you this fine day, my awesome Readers? I keep meaning to get something finished but the perfectionist in me keeps pulling me back, and I am not happy with it. However, the latest writing prompt from @JonicaBradley got me thinking. **Writing prompt #9 is Success** (see the end of this article for how to participate) https://read.cash/@JonicaBradley/writing-prompt-9-success-6aa44de2 Success - what is it, how do you define it? For me as we travel on this strange journey called life, we continually achieve success some big some small. Our first baby steps - Success Our first words - Success Graduating School - Success First date - Success First kiss - Success Get married - Success Have children - Success Get a job - Success Buy a House - Success First vacation abroad - Success The list is endless and goes on and on, have you done some of these ? Well I know you have so, give yourself a tap on the back as @FarmGirl says or a pat on your back as I say. Sorry @FarmGirl I couldn't resist ! I do love these writing prompts, it makes us delve into ourselves and do some soul searching. My next Success For me a success is now a personal achievement and something I can be proud of. For me that will be writing and completing my first book. My great grandfather Sir Edward Blount published his memoirs. He was an inspiration to me through his book, and I vowed I would write my memoirs of my travels. Additionally my great aunt wrote many Religious education books for children, so the pressure is on. This will be my Success and one for which I will be proud. Yes, but what about the Title! When less is more. One reason I joined this platform was to get my writing mojo back. And for that I am thankful to read and to all you Awesome wonderful readers, your comments on Archie and Moira push me and give me confidence to carry on and finish. Indeed the wonderful @CoquiCoin has highlighted another side of me and my Dr Doolittle character of Eddie Wildlife and Daffy (such a drama queen as @ARTicLEE pointed out), this pushes me even more.
However, what I have found is that Pareto's Law is in play here for me. Some of you may be familiar with Pareto's Law or some may know it is the 80/20 rule. Vilfredo Pareto was an Italian economist who in 1895 discovered that 80% of Italy’s land belonged to 20% of the country’s population. Pareto's Law states that for many phenomena 80% of the result comes from 20% of the effort (I did a thesis on this for my Masters in Knowledge Management) and I could bore you with hundreds of examples. A fun relevant one concerns emojis! According to a **recent publication** from the Unicode Consortium (Source 1), **only three out of 2,600+ emojis**—😂, ❤️, and 😍—**account for 20% of overall emoji use**. https://home.unicode.org/emoji/emoji-frequency/ Now then the relevance for me! On this platform it has become apparent that 80% of my rewards are coming from 20% of the time and effort I spend, meaning the articles I spend the least amount of time on are making me the most BCH which I can then pay it forward. So whilst reading and writing at read has got my mojo back for writing, what is being rewarded is not my stories and articles that I spend the most time and research on, but these 10 questions types which are super fast and not improving my writing. Conclusion - My read success Whilst the platform, or more accurately my wonderful and Awesome readers have brought success to me in so far as my writing mojo has come back. For success in this platform in BCH from you-know-who, I have to spend less time on my articles and not write fully researched articles and stories. In other words LESS IS MORE ! Less is more. I always apply this in my clothing style hahaha. I am not fond of adding bling blings, or flashy colors or whatever. there's just always at least one piece to make the look complete. Though i priorituze comfort before looking good, I still make a bit of effort. Hahaha! I loved reading this. :)
Hehe you will find the older you get, you definitely prioritize comfort over looking good, but of course it is still good to be comfortable AND look good 🤣 With clothes I am on your wave length, often simple is the most elegant look, and too much bling damn just no!
I love this article @TengoLoTodo. I know you can achieved the success you wanted someday because your a good person. Maybe now its not yet the right time but Im pretty sure you will be successful with it. :-)

Thanks for the tag, dear Eddie! I hope that if you apply Pareto's law to your posts here for earning more BCH. Don't completely deprive your faithful readers of your wonderful articles. I think you are in trouble because as @FarmGirl told you, I also would love to have a signed copy of your book, which I'm sure will be a great success. And I'm sure we're not the only ones, hehe. And of course of each story in the series of Eddie Wildlife. Even from those who might have child censorship if you follow your drama queen, haha :)

Yes I am getting a website up and running soon and toying with publishing there. Haha you never need proof! Daffy poor Daffy who knows what he will do ;)
It's cool that you're launching a website. Can I ask you what you plan to publish? Once, I've started a site on how to make money on the internet. I ended up quitting it. It's hard without help to have the site updated and get a lot of visits. You need to post quite frequently. And in January 2020, returning from a trip, I wanted to start a travel page. And even bought the domain. When I started setting up the site, the pandemic started, and I think I lost interest. Many years ago, I wrote for some Spanish multi bloggers pages that are still online.
I have the domain already and got the wordpress theme, now need to populate with articles information etc, and the visits, traffic etc I can get I know how to do that, but you raise a very good point about help, I would like spanish and filipino help, I do use alot of sites to make money and do research paid work etc so that is the plan. May I ask why you don't write for those Spanish bloggers now ?
That is interesting, but also true. For me it manifests somewhat different. The less I write, the more my articles receive 😅 I put good few hours into writing and editing each of my articles and not much on research, as I mostly write about my experiences. Monthly summaries probably take the most time, as I’m collecting numbers etc. Read.cash definitely brought back my writing mojo, but also my reading mojo. If I have time to chill, I do so reading other articles. So hooked 💙
Oh number collecting is a dawdle for me, so the monthly summary will be a quick one. I have always been an avid reader, I will read absoultely anything, so do read plenty of articles here, but yes getting my writing mojo back for me , is what I take from read.
I'll wait for that children's books... Of course it should have a sign from you. Is looking for an artist a success already?

Hahaha same sentiment. My random articles that was easily written has more tip from RR than those that has thrice my effort. But I don't want to post with just something. I want to post my works that I can be proud of (tho it's just rambles LOL). I'm curious on how far you are now on your book. I'm also trying to finish a book, because horray, my husband is my number one fan. He is really pushing me to finish it. I said that I will, one step at a time.
hehe we are in the same boat. That is the problem with my latest chapter of my book , not happy with Paris chapter haha rambles or not, unless we are happy, I don't think is a success. I have written maybe half of this book, I am writing as a potential series, do what you want, don't let him push you, as you say , one step at a time, now I want to read yours ;)

My brain stopped for a while at the mention of Pareto . Haha This one is a success the previous one is a successs. You are awesome uncle ed yes you are! Oh goodness that Pareto Principle remind me of inputs and outputs are not balanced. Who else here are economist that knows the Pareto Principle. 80%of results are generated from 20%of the causes. Well so much for that.😂 Made me think of Pareto Principle. Well success comes in different forms, or how somebody perceived it. Less research you make and just write from your own experiences, let those words flow, you'll end up having a great article, and that is a success already. Keep doing what you love.
