Yours To Live!

I've come across different types of people in this life and I have to say that some of them were very disappointing. Myself being highly introverted have spent quite a number of my years on earth observing people.

The more I looked, the more I started to see that the human race is constantly evolving in respect to character and I just can't say if this evolution is for the better or not.

Amongst the many types of people I have come across or just noticed out of my keen observation, there are those who always feel undeserving of every good thing that comes their way.

I have spent hours thinking about this in the past few days, as to why anyone would feel like they do not deserve even the life that they have or the success that they have acquired for themselves.

It could be because some people did not really do anything to really achieve the success or wealth they have, maybe they got it by inheritance or just out of the blue. Sadly, these people are not the ones I am referring to, but to those who actively toil day and night but they feel undeserving of what they have either because someone gave them the platform in the days of their little beginnings.

I understand fully well what it means to be grateful to someone for the things that they do for you in the days when things were hard and that kindness that they showed may have been so massive and it's only right to be forever indebted to them.

But this doesn't mean that one should not be able to draw the line and just stop living one's life the way he or she should but start living for someone else just because they are eternally grateful.

I hold the opinion that if anyone should lord over another's life, it should be God only and not some man, irrespective of what they have done in time past.

God gave up his son for us and many more things that are too numerous to mention but you don't see him forcing himself over anybody. He still gives everyone a choice and that choice can never be taken away.

Someone might have given you an opportunity but you made that opportunity become what it is. Whether you like to believe it or not, someone else have failed in time past where you succeeded so give yourself some accolades.

Mind you, I'm not in anyway saying that you should rebel against those who helped you in dire times, that would make you and ingrate and nothing more. Show them that you're grateful but your life should be yours to live.

Conclusion

This article is inspired by a story of a man I heard whose home is almost in a wreck because his wife is tired of their so called helper rulling over their lives and the husband Is just too scared to take a stand.

This man in question left it all in the beginning where he should have handled it. It may be difficult to address now but it's definitely not too late.
