Life on social media
Social media platforms are the internet based platforms on which users can share information, engage with people and can create content in short it is also a mean of communication all over the world . Now social media has become a part of life in everyone's life . Life is living way of person when both these terms life and social media are combined then we called it social media's life . Before social media there were other platforms which were introduced to the audience before the emergence of internet those are television, radio and if move in past back we found printing press.
No privacy:
When a person has joined social media platforms there remain no privacy , your personal life remain no more personal because as much as you famous as much people want to observe what are you doing right now so it become difficult for different people to keep their life private Whenever you are going to any gathering there are chances that people may find you there even you are with your family members .
Misconception in audience mind :
The audience think that the actors , influencer and all the people whom they are watching on different social media platforms are the happiest one and they are really enjoying their life because people think that they have each and every accomodations in their life they even have no difficulty they attain everything for which they just wish they can move abroad they are living a life with gold spoon they have no fear of anything they have no tension at all. But the reality is far away from this because this is not true it is just myth in human minds , as social media users are also human so same they can feel just like their audience they may have fear they also get tension might they are facing depression the life means the picture which we see on the social media is just one side of a page we are unaware what is going on inside the man and what is condition of man's house what he is facing now. But we just feel that he is smiling so make judgement that he would be happy . There are so many disadvantages and negative effects of using social media :
Depression:
The high usage of social media leads to depression and it occurs on both sides on audience and on the personalities of influencers people start comparing their life with the life of other people which decrease their self esteem and they always underestimate themselves . Most of the girls try to catch the beauty standard similar to the actress and when they observe themselves they feel down because they think that they are not beautiful at the end they move into depression might they started doing different type of treatment to get bright skin but they do not think that the picture which they are observing and matching themselves with that picture has gone through so much filters they do not understand that every skin texture is different and unique in itself every completion looks great in it. Our social media also has conveyed the concept that the skinny people who are smart are the beautiful and handsome one no doubt that obesity is not good and it can be a cause of so many diseases but portraying such image of beauty and nominating all the obese people decrease their confidence level they might feel low.
Fear of missing out (FMO):
Fear of missing out remains your hand always on your mobile because you might get feeding that other people are enjoying the life while you are not the other people are getting all the information which is circulating on social media but on the other side you are sitting and you are studying this concept always cool mobile and the whole day you waste while using mobile this year also full you to click on all the link which you receive and you try to get maximum information as you can from any other side. All of us are mostly connected to Facebook WhatsApp and Snapchat therefore we stand most of the time on Facebook and this platform but these platforms are good then we use them just for few time but when we use them excessively then it become problem for us . FMO keeps us on social media all the time and we bound to it .
Isolation:
Our outdoor activities are as important as our indoor , those outdoor activities give us confidence and also keep us healthy outdoor activities also help to interact with other people known out social media platform also connect the people and the users on social media may not friend and may not stranger but the main point is that they are not the true friends there is so much fakeness on social media when the amount of using social media increases the more loneliness you feel the study at University of Pennsylvania shows that the higher you use social media the more you feel loneliness because you are social interaction decreases and you find yourself reluctant to face somebody when you isolate yourself and bound yourself with social media it also decrease your confidence and you could not speak in front of so much audience in a well mannered way. The interaction with other people in real life is as important as your goal is important in your life.
Cyber bullying
Research shows that more than 10% users are bullied on social media platform.
The users who are using social media face is many problem including cyber bulling which include their body shaving their appearance mocking and different things which decreases the moral of a person it depicts the mentality of other people , cyber bullying on social media is one of the serious issue which most of the influencers are facing in recent times
Self absorption:
Life on social media keep us away from the real life and we lack somewhere to observe the real life phenomena we lack the experience which we could have in our life , sharing 🤳 selfies , sharing all the thoughts on social media made clear everything about your life and it depicts your all the personality you become self centered and you lack the sense of connectivity people on social media mostly thinks about themselves they become very mean in terms of their profile and all that stuff .
Aim distraction:
The high usage of social media distract you from achieving your goal in your life and it divert your life in such angle which is risky and their you could not find success you could not groom yourself and your life is in danger. The word of social media is two faced it is not as simple as we all think it has its own drawbacks . The usage of social media keeps us stay away from the study and students scroll social media instead of studying and achieving good grades it also effect our marks and position in class it diverts our attention , the attention which students should give to their books they give to social media.
Behaviour problems :
Our behaviour become very risky when we use more social media it effects on our mind it grapes of a mind and it controls our thinking process the things which we watch all the day effect on our brain and our behaviour and thoughts shows that what type of content we use to see on social media , it becomes like addiction i.e whenever a person could not use it , the person feel a certain type of insecurity and remain hesitant his behaviour become even rude even with his members of family .
Sleep disturbance :
Social media effect our sleep timings you can observe even your own lifestyle that whenever you get up we just pick up our phone and go through the social media website to know that what is going on, what is trending on Twitter or something like this , when we going on bed same we do so one can observe here that our priorities has been changed from book reading to mobile.
"Excess of everything is bad"
At the end of my article I just want to say that excess of everything is bad we use mobile but in limit we should not use it all the time because it effect on our health and it leads to mental illness depression and list go on! So only way to keep yourself aware and stay in limit that you can set the screen time obviously you could not get rid of the addiction of mobile if you have , but you can decrease this gradually by the passage of time and by taking small step just like using mobile just for calls or something informative would be enough.

Even drinking too much water can cause water poisoning, intoxication, or a disruption of brain function. Eating too much as well causes heart burn. These are all the fundamental needs of humans, and we can't live without these. However, when there is an over consumption, bad things happen.
