Bleach interacts with other Household chemicals.Not only is bleach harmful on it'd own,but it's interaction s with other commonly used chemicals can produce harmful reactions.When bleach comes in contact with ammonia,it can react to form chlorine gas,which causes cellular damage in the nasal passageways and lungs.

What happens when you mix bleach and acid??

When mixed with any acid,it release s highly toxic chlorine gas.Most toilet bowl cleaner a contain sodium hydrogen sulfate,an acid which will quickly liberate chlorine from bleach.The acid fumes of chlorine can destroy lung tissue,cause the lungs to fill with water and in a sense cause death by drowning. .....

What to do when you inhale bleaching agent gas??

If you inhale chlorine ,seek fresh air as soon as possible.Going to the highest possible ground to seek fresh air is helpful because chlorine is heavier than air.....

Do Not Mix These Cleaning Products.......

Thanks for reading...I think you will understand how dangerous the thing if you add any chemical with bleaching agent..so be safe...and safe your environment also......

Bleach is used mostly as cleaning agent to clean and whiten surfaces. I didn't know it has so much health damages. This is a great info

Thanks for the information..bleach itself is chemical agent..so we should not any other chemical to it. bleach is a product of the substitution reactions between Methane gas and Hydrogen-chloride acid.

Thank you for this health and safety tips. From Organic Chemistry, bleach is a product of the substitution reactions between Methane gas and Hydrogen-chloride acid. The former takes chlorine atoms from the latter, which takes hydrogen atoms from the former. Hence the former forms bleach which is very rich in chlorine gas. Normally, a nose cover should be used when mixing bleach to prevent chlorine gas from being inhaled.

Wow!! Very interesting post. Bleaching powder is a very strong reagent as it reacts very fast. It is highly corrosive. We should always use bleaching powder with controlled amount.

Direct use of this raw bleaching powder can cause skin damage.. once i saw this in my friend house.. his skin damaged for it's raw use
