Achilles was the son of a sea nymph Thetis and Peleus, King of Myrmidons. When he was an infant, his mother wanted to protect him from harm, unlike them who was immortal. His mother dipped him in the river of Styx by holding his heel. Greeks claimed that the River of Styx had special powers. As Achilles grew older, he became invulnerable in any part of his body except his heel. Though soon he became a strong and great warrior.
When the Trojan War begins because of Paris abduction to Helen, Achilles joined the Greeks and brought some Myrmidon soldiers.
During the Trojan War, many soldiers fallen and some of the gods get involved helping the Greeks and the Trojans. Meanwhile, Achilles defeated many Trojan soldiers as the battle raged for years.
One time, Achilles captured a lady named Briseis and fall in love with her. But the Greek leader gets angered from it and took Briseis away from Achilles. Achilles became depressed and refused to fight the Trojans.
Achilles isn't battling caused the Greeks army to fall down. His best friend, Patroclus was worried as the Trojans advanced the war. Patroclus convinced Achilles to lend him his armor. As he convinced Achilles, Patroclus continued to battle to impose as Achilles. As the Greeks saw Patroclus disguised as Achilles, they became more inspired and fought harder in the battle. While Patroclus met the greatest warrior of Troy, Hector. They fought each other, the god of war Apollo, helped Hector to kill Patroclus disguised as Achilles. God of war Apollo was angry with Achilles because he killed his son.
Achilles received the news of his best friend Patroclus death. The death of Patroclus made him to continue battling to get his best friend a revenge. As he fought in the war he encountered the man who slew his best friend, Hector. They fought hard until Achilles defeated Hector.
As Achilles continued to battle, not noticing the prince of Troy. Paris, shoot him with an arrow. God of war Apollo knew that the heel of Achilles was his weakness. Apollo, maneuvered the arrow to Achilles. The wound made Achilles weak and then died. End.
