I am Nobody Odysseus arrived at the island of the Cyclops, also known as Sicily as he and his crew trying to go back to their homeland, Ithaca. As they reach the island they saw a cave full of resources not knowing that the cave is the home of the one eyed Cyclops, Polyphemus. Polyphemus is son of Thoosa and the god of the sea, Poseidon. As Polyphemus has gone home in his cave, he noticed that there's people inside so he quickly closed and sealed the entrance so no one can get outside. He took two men and eat it because he is a giant Cyclops it is easy for him to eat a human. In the morning he also swallowed another two man before he attend his sheep. Odysseus doesn't want to sacrifice one of his men again so he planned something. When the giant Cyclops, Polyphemus has gone home at evening, Odysseus offered him a strong wine and after a few hours the giant Cyclops become sober and then asked Odysseus what is his name, Odysseus answered, " I am Otis". Otis in Greek means nobody so he means, " I am nobody." the giant Cyclops told Odysseus that he will eat him last because of gratitude before falling into deep slumber. As planned by Odysseus, he prepared a wooden stake and attacked Polyphemus' one eye. As Polyphemus screamed for help, no one helped because the other giants thought that he is praying for god as he was shouting, " Help me, nobody is killing me!" Polyphemus ended being a blind while Odysseus and his men escaped from the cave by tying themselves under the body of the sheep of Polyphemus. The plan succeeded, but Polyphemus asked his father for a revenge so Poseidon, drifted the ship of Odysseus far from their main route. #

Thoughts and Reaction about Trojan War The Trojan War is kinda pointless in my own opinion. The war started just because of the prince of Troy, Paris, abduct Helen, the wife of the king of Sparta, Menelaus. Though the main reason why Paris abduct Helen unintended because he thought that Helen is not married and Helen willingly go to Paris 'cause Eros, god of love, shoot Helen an arrow to fall in love with Paris as what Aphrodite bribe about, 'the most beautiful woman in the Earth'. In my point of view, they fought because of something too little to start a war. And the brother of Menelaus shouldn't jump into the matter because it is within the couple. Also, the person at fault is Paris because if Paris didn't accept the bribe the three goddesses offered just for the most beautiful woman and the golden apple, the goddess of discord delivered to the wedding of Thetis and Peleus, and he judges it unbiased, there will be no war but he let himself be tempted with the offer of Aphrodite. As for me, if I were to accept the bribe being presented, I will rather choose the offer of the goddess of wisdom, Athena, the gift of wisdom and skill in battle. With that I can may be able think and colonize a country to rule like the goddess Hera offered or even have Helen of Troy. By outsmarting the Greeks with the use of the gift received from the goddess Athena. I can get what I I desire. # That's all my opinion. Good evening.

Trojan Horse, Key to Enter the Kingdom of Troy Nowadays, our interpretation of the Trojan Horse is to trick or fool someone to achieve something. The origin of the Trojan Horse was from the Greeks when they were battling with the kingdom of Troy. The ten years' worthless wars because of the wall surrounding the kingdom of Troy, the leader of the Greek soldiers, Odysseus thought of deceiving the Trojans by sending them a big wooden Trojan Horse that has a hidden compartment inside disguised as a gift from the goddess of wisdom and war, Athena, for the withdrawal of the 'Greeks'. The man who made the idea of Odysseus in reality was a master carpenter and pugilist, Epeius. Epeius built the wooden Trojan for three days. After the construction, Odysseus command the other soldiers to sail to the island of Tenedos. The thirty soldiers left to hide inside the hidden compartment of the Trojan Horse alongside with Odysseus. While Epeius posed as the delivery man from Athena. Epius convinced the Trojans that the wooden horse was from the godess Athena. As he convinced the Trojans, some of them were hesitant though the Trojans gave in and let the wooden Trojan horse came inside the kingdom of Troy. When the day reach nightfall, the Greeks started to go out of the wooden horse and attacked the Trojans. The Trojans did not expect the ambush attack at nightfall as they thought the Greeks retreat from the war. The Trojans did not have the chance to fight back. The war ended in favor with the Greeks victory. The war started because of the decisions of Paris made and the reason that killed him. Achilles Achilles was the son of a sea nymph Thetis and Peleus, King of Myrmidons. When he was an infant, his mother wanted to protect him from harm, unlike them who was immortal. His mother dipped him in the river of Styx by holding his heel. Greeks claimed that the River of Styx had special powers. As Achilles grew older, he became invulnerable in any part of his body except his heel. Though soon he became a strong and great warrior. When the Trojan War begins because of Paris abduction to Helen, Achilles joined the Greeks and brought some Myrmidon soldiers. During the Trojan War, many soldiers fallen and some of the gods get involved helping the Greeks and the Trojans. Meanwhile, Achilles defeated many Trojan soldiers as the battle raged for years. One time, Achilles captured a lady named Briseis and fall in love with her. But the Greek leader gets angered from it and took Briseis away from Achilles. Achilles became depressed and refused to fight the Trojans. Achilles isn't battling caused the Greeks army to fall down. His best friend, Patroclus was worried as the Trojans advanced the war. Patroclus convinced Achilles to lend him his armor. As he convinced Achilles, Patroclus continued to battle to impose as Achilles. As the Greeks saw Patroclus disguised as Achilles, they became more inspired and fought harder in the battle. While Patroclus met the greatest warrior of Troy, Hector. They fought each other*,* the god of war Apollo, helped Hector to kill Patroclus disguised as Achilles. God of war Apollo was angry with Achilles because he killed his son. Achilles received the news of his best friend Patroclus death. The death of Patroclus made him to continue battling to get his best friend a revenge. As he fought in the war he encountered the man who slew his best friend, Hector. They fought hard until Achilles defeated Hector. As Achilles continued to battle, not noticing the prince of Troy. Paris, shoot him with an arrow. God of war Apollo knew that the heel of Achilles was his weakness. Apollo, maneuvered the arrow to Achilles. The wound made Achilles weak and then died. Glimpse of Trojan War The Trojan War happened because of Paris of Troy, who chose the bribe Aphrodite offered, which is the most beautiful woman in the world, Helen, who was married to King Menelaus of Sparta. Paris took Helen away from Menelaus as what he agreed with Aphrodite, Helen fell in love with him, but Paris didn't know that she was married. What Paris did to King Menelaus was an insult to Sparta. This action made the King of Mycenae, brother of Menelaus, Agamemnon deport all his troops to Troy for war. This war lasts long for 10 years because the Spartans can't get into the realm of Troy because it was surrounded by an enormous gate. The war ended in favor with the Spartans victory. Imagine, a war started because of a golden apple the god of discord delivered to the wedding of Thetis and Peleus. Also, the judgement of Paris. Hope you enjoy! Golden Apple The greek godesses; Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. Piqued their interest to a golden apple which was delivered to Peleus and Thetis' wedding. The golden apple was from Eris, the god of discord who wasn't invited to the banquet. She sent the golden apple with a letter saying, " To the most beautiful woman" Hera, Athena and Aphrodite claimed to be the recipient of the golden apple. It cause chaos so they asked Zeus, god of all gods, husband of Hera, father of Athena and Aphodite. Zeus refused the tasked and asked Hermes to bring the golden apple to Paris of Troy for him to make the decision. Paris was known for giving reward without hesitation. As Paris arrived, the three women get naked for Paris one by one to see who really is the most beautiful. Of course, there's a bribery happens. Hera offers a country and star. Athena offers wisdom and skill in battles while Aphrodite offers the most beautiful woman in the Earth, Helen of Sparta. They got so much to bribe just for a golden apple, right? Going back to the story, Paris of Troy chose Aphrodite's offer which is Helen of Sparta. Aprodite won the little battle they have and received the golden apple. Meanwhile, Paris a guy who chose a girl over a country, star, wisdom and skill in battle got himself into a war. He didn't know that his reward, the most beautiful woman in the Earth was married to Menelaus, the King of Sparta. And that resulted the Trojan War. I'll post Trojan War next. Hope you enjoy!
