Anger is a normal process in the human body but it becomes abnormal when we cannot control anger. In medical terms, we have a hormone in our body called adrenal cortex. When this hormone is released from the body, you will feel like fighting. A kind of negative attitude is created. It is a natural process. It boosts your fight response, then stimulates your body to feel like fighting.
Anger is terrible. Anger has both physical and mental damage. Many times people can have a stroke if they get extra angry
Anger is like a storm. When a storm starts, just like it comes from one side and goes away in the other direction, people don't understand how to get angry. After the anger is gone, after the head is cold, it is understood, alas! This is what I did.
Excessive anger leads to many accidents due to lack of knowledge, fights deteriorate, husband-wife relationship breaks down, friend-friend relationship is ruined, we create various other problems due to excessive anger.
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: He who can defeat another by wrestling is not strong. The person who can control himself during anger is the most powerful in the sight of Allah.Anger is always driven by the devil.
So we should control our anger as much as possible and try to direct our anger towards the positive instead of the negative.
I am human so I also have anger I also get very angry sometimes but after thinking in detail about how to control this anger, in the end these special ways and some methods from Islamic point of view helped me to reduce my anger.
So in today's article we will discuss some of my own views on how to control anger and from different perspectives.
1. When anger arises, if you perform ablution, the fire of anger is extinguished. In an angry state one should read more and more "Aujubillahi Minash Shaytbani Rajim". If standing, sit down and read. If you are sitting, you have to lie down. When lying down, the body will move from hyper stage to relax mode. Then the chances of shouting will decrease, the ability to understand the situation in a cold head and speak will increase. This instruction is taken from the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
2. If there is anger over a misunderstanding, then it is important to have open communication. Open communication means speaking openly. If you keep all the anger hidden in your mind, all of a sudden all your anger will explode like a volcano. The result: very bad kind of anger! It is also wise to be able to share your feelings with people close to you in a nice, humble way. Emotion is less for someone, more for someone. Nothing is bad as long as he is trying to direct and discipline his emotions for the sake of Allah. We will give full support to the angry man who is trying to do so.
3. Getting up during tahajjud to reduce anger and pray for happiness and peace. It is time to accept prayers.
We can read verse 64 of Surah Furqan more and more for peace in the world. It is better to understand the meaning.
"Our Lord, grant us comfort from our wives and our children, and make us a model for those who guard (against evil)" (Furqan 25:64).
It is also therapeutic to pray for the welfare of the person with whom he is angry, more and more by his name!
4. Reduce other sins as much as possible. Even the small sins that we think are very little are avoided. Sin, no matter how small or big, will reduce the blessings of Allah from life. The sinner will not find peace of mind and will be in a place unprotected from anger.
5. Avoid events that trigger anger
6. Nowadays very stimulated content is shown on TV or media. From children's cartoons to adult movies and TV series are very hyper and violent. Right now people are responding, getting angry, jumping and going to action. After seeing such things for a while, people themselves become hyper, reacting to the fall of lime from drinking. The power of thinking is lost. May Allah give us the tawfiq to understand the loss of all these unnecessary movies and TV series.
7 . Converting the negative energies of anger into positive ones. For example, for a poor family, one meal can be cooked and fed to them. We can go down on the mission of memorizing a surah / dua.
8. Thinking about your roots. I came into the world from a little bit of liquid, I have to go back to that hand under the ground. If I go back with a mustard seed of arrogance in mind, I will not get the scent of paradise. Is my anger greater than God's? Is my ego more valuable than paradise?
One of the Companions came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, O Messenger of Allah! Give me some advice in a few words. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, "Avoid anger." The Companions said several times, "Give more advice." Each time the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'Get rid of anger.' Get rid of anger. (Bukhari)
"Those who spend their time in affluence and deprivation, those who restrain their anger and forgive people, in fact Allah loves the doers of good." (Surah Al 'Imran, verse: 134).
We keep trying without giving up hope. Inshallah, by the grace of Allah, the situation of anger will get much better.
Reference:
(A) ‘Anger comes from Satan; Satan was created from fire, and fire can only be extinguished by water. So when one of you gets angry, he should perform ablution. '(Abu Dawood)
(B) ‘If any of you get angry while standing, he should sit down. If his anger subsides, so be it; Or he should lie down. '(Tirmidhi).
After all, for the sake of Allah, one has to be patient.
I am a living proof of anger. Lol. I have a low temper. I do not know why though. But I am making sure that I limit myself especially when I feel so frustrated already. I like this article of yours. Its so informative! 😊
