Iran struck by new US sanctions

The United States imposed new sanctions to Iran last Monday. Tehran is already facing enormous financial difficulties due to the many sanctions that struck the country in the last 4 years. Now, the US decided to imposed a new set of sanctions that hit hard the most important oil companies from the country.

In my opinion, based on watching carefully what is happening in Iran is that these US sanctions would hurt Iran because the Iranian authorities are trying to diversify the economy, unlike Saudi Arabia for example. The best way to avoid these international sanctions is to become energy independent, create strong business friendly policies, establish good infrastructure for transport and communication, put emphasis on science and technology. Iran also posses the knowledge of developing military hardware all by themselves. This is quite a very optimistic scenario.

Many Iranians say that a future deal with China is better than any deal with the US, but this is also tricky. Iran does not have money, while China has plenty. In this way Iran can become dependent on China. Adopting the lesser of two evil principles is not a good move for Tehran.

Also many say let America continue sanctioning Iran until there is nothing for them to sanction. And as always the Iranian will thrive.... but nowadays, that's not the case. Anyway, it's like the US got no any other options when it comes to Iran other than sanctions.

Iran is a required piece in Middle East peace strategy. Negotiations can certainly help and is the necessity of time.

Some would even say, in a funny way indeed, that the USA ran out of sanction and they can't impose sanctions on the Iranian oil industry for second time now. The US is very dramatic like a "moody girlfriend".

Iran also placed sanctions on US officials. Both sides need to stop.

If Iran really wants their people to have better lives, why then would their government go into nuclear arms when the limited resource could have gone a long way by investing on other areas that will really have a bigger impact on improving their peoples' lives? This is one question to consider.

But they said the sanctions did not affect them??? But the fact is the rulers always find away of getting money and their wealth is always protected and they always care less what the normal civilians go through..so the U.S.should consider the normal Citizens and end the sanctions..for the normal civilians at least!! They should find away of punishing the leadership alone.

I arguably condemned the Iranian pronouncement on possibly ruining sanctions on average citizens.

A good governance doesn't need to rely on monotonous economy, it should be diversified.

Iran stand in U.S in their falsely claim of possessing nuclear weapon which the supreme Iranian leader has called U.S to come for scrutiny. It's an act done to foreclosure Iranian wealth accrued in U.S and possible hit back at the government to an agreement with U.S.

I hold strongly in opposing the two entities on diplomatic relationship and governance which is not well managed and practiced.

So basically what I get out of this is the following. The unrest and distaste for the Iranian government is at a point that they are now fearing their own population. This is good, this is what sanctions are supposed to do. Make the masses demand change from their government to better their lives.
