noise.app: The Generosity of Users, and What I've Noticed So far
10/23/2022
Noise.app has been busy since its released. It only has few users before, and now it has many! Just imagine how it grows. It is also rumored that noise.cash would have its last days when it's fully developed.
But I found interesting stuffs that I want to share with you all! Including the tipping rumors, noise.app app development, new looks, and more!
If you wish to read my previous noise.app review since its release, you can read it here.
Noise.app still in invite-only for full access
As far as I've observed, you still need an invite from users to fully access noise.app. You can create an read-only account for you to only read contents and like it. You can also explore some other users as well.
But to be able to post, comment, and have most features Noise has to offer, you need someone to give you an invite link to do so. If you have any friend/s who can give you a link, you can ask for one to access Noise (for full access).
Tipping!
Now in noise.app, all users can donate to anyone who has donation links open! By accessing to noise.app/settings, you can set up your tipping address. You can use PayPal, BTC, ETH, or even our special coin BCH as a tipping address.
Note: All donations from BTC, ETH, and BCH are all anonymous, so you don't know who tipped to you, unless they tip from PayPal.
Rumors of Rusty in the Platform
The main talk of tipping in noise.app is that how consistent you receive from anonymous tips, especially thru BCH. A lot of people actually think, even I, that Rusty or @TheRandomRewarder is in the platform, randomly tipping us.
I would suggest reading @Infinity article related to tips received and criteria they mentioned.
In my opinion, all of the tips, are all from users who tipped us willingly and with generosity.
As @tribunshitpost shared in noise.app, he talked with Simon about the random tipping. And he said that they (the team that developed Noise), haven't tipped anyone on the platform. No penny is given to others. And it's only from users who really tipped you. And since it's anonymous, it's a secret tip.
No surprise intended.
But it would be funny that one tip from user 1 would be used to tip for user 2,then user 3,and so on. Like @Infinity said.
More Changes to the UI
Another thing I noticed is the more larger "Post" UI or textbox.
Now its more larger than the last one, which is also annoying that when you accidentally click outside the textbox, you have to type it all again.
Hoping for a "Save Draft" and "Edit post" feature because it is so much easier to have this features.
noise.app now on Google Play
If you haven't heard this yet, Noise already have its own app, on Android for now.
Noticed that button? Yes, I noticed this yesterday, and Simon really keeps his words.
Pretty much similar to the mobile website version, but more compatible for mobile. Now I'm starting to even like this platform more! It was released 3 weeks ago (so I'm a bit outdated).
It's not like noise.cash app on mobile that uses still your default browser to use it. This time, Noise is really an app to use.
You can get it on Google Play Store for free. Unfortunately, there's no iOS version of the app, yet.
Closing Thoughts
So far, since 1-2 months, Noise has been improving. And more features yet to come as well (as promised by Simon).
Now I just hope that they will add the edit option for future edits. Also, adding a voice/video calls to the platform would be nice. It could be good when we talk about something related to BCH or something else.
So that's it for today!
