I have an anxious person in my family and I am struggling with that problem. I read a lot of literature and try to help. I believe that answering questions will help many!It is a long struggle. It takes a lot of patience, perseverance and exercises. Sometimes I am betrayed by strength. It is very difficult to live with a person who has anxious thoughts.
If you suffer from anxiety, you probably feel like your mind is "torturing" you. It sends you thoughts that warn you of what you should be afraid of and the horrible things that could happen to you. Then you analyze and worry about them, because if your brain sends you such thoughts, they have to be accurate and important, right? They rarely fell silent. They rarely leave you alone.Have you ever tried to control your anger and succeeded? Why would anxiety be any different? Your emotions are a part of you, a part you can control. You can control your anxiety by changing the way you react to anxious thoughts. I think that in order to overcome anxiety, anxiety disorders or panic attacks, it is very important to understand that thoughts are only thoughts, and not necessarily truth.
IS THE THOUGHT REASONABLE AND ACCURATE?
We have between 60,000 and 70,000 thoughts a day, which are mostly repeated (over 90% of thoughts are the same as the day before)? What this means? Most of the time we don't really think, we remember. So, in order for positive thoughts to enter our mind and to prevent negative thoughts from playing out over and over again, we must make a conscious effort to control them. We need to become aware of our thoughts. The next time you notice a thought coming to your mind, you must first ask yourself if that thought is correct and realistic?
DO MY THOUGHTS GIVE ME STRENGTH AND MOTIVATION?
Your thoughts should lead you to a more fulfilled life, so if your thoughts do not give you the impetus you need to achieve your goals and dreams, you should learn to reject them. I’m not saying it’s simple and possible overnight, but it’s practiced.
HOW CAN I USE THIS SITUATION TO MAKE MY LIFE BETTER?
Every experience in our lives serves as a lesson. When you have a certain experience, whether it is good or bad, think about what it can teach you. If you are currently in a situation where you cannot control your anxiety and negative thoughts, know that you can learn a lot from that situation.
Even the most difficult times can turn us into better people if we let them, so instead of focusing on negative circumstances, try to get the best out of that situation.
WHAT HABIT TAKES ME AWAY FROM A MORE FULL LIFE?
I am sure that every person can notice one bad habit that leads to self-destruction. Do you use drugs or alcohol to endure the day? Do you turn to food every time you feel upset? Or, you may be using other people as a way to quell your grief.
We all have our "vices", but giving up those habits could lead to incredible growth and transformation in our lives. Examine your life to see where it can be improved and take the necessary steps to get there. Start with small steps, so it will be easier.
DO I PUSH ANY PROBLEM UNDER THE CARPET?
Maybe you have some deep dark secret in your life that you hid under the carpet for a while. Pull it out and see what you can do. Avoiding the problem will not go away; in fact, it only exacerbates the problem. We all tend to put things aside until they get over our heads. Until we get into a situation where we have to pay attention.
Remember, when you change the way you understand worrying thoughts, it does not mean that your mind will stop sending such thoughts to you. It is important to have control over what you do when you have such thoughts.
