We have new pets!!!🥰 (April 10, 2022)

Aside from four dogs and a cat. We also have hens, roasters and chicks, we also have a pet dove and fishes.

We always like to have our own pet fishes but it just started last January 2022 that we had our very first fish pet.

We also have done some mistakes as a newbie owner of fish pets, as a result of what we have done she died unexpectedly after almost two weeks.

Anyway, after that, mom bought my sister three fishes to lift her mood. Two orange female platy fish and one pregnant female guppy fish.

We always thought that even the platyfishes are pregnant since they have a rectangular shape stomach already. We waited for so long and nothing happened to the two platyfishes. They never give birth but the guppy fish did-twice actually.

One month after, we bought two male platyfishes to pair with the females. We immediately join the males to the community(big aquarium). But I always thought that the male aren't matured yet for breeding.

But hey! Today is a special day. As we woke up, I mean my younger sister woke me up. As she woke up and fed the fishes, she shouted at me out of excitement.

It was still dark because of the bad weather but I think it was five in the morning when she excitedly showed me the baby fishes. It's from one of the platyfish thats just staying at the buttom of the aquarium.

Meet one of our female platyfish, she have a black tail like a sword and bright orangy body. One thing I also observed is that her pair was staying by her side every corner she goes, that was so sweet.

It's quite cool that platyfishes and Guppy fishes are live bearers unlike Betta fishes that just lay eggs.

Betta, platy and guppy fishes are amazingly amusing me deeply. Pets are giving me so much calmness and curiousity. They just let me learn things like I'm on a science class everytime.

Male guppy and platy fishes are usually smaller than females, but male Betta fishes have longer colorful tails that's making them more beautiful than female ones.

So let me just present to you these beautiful day one old platyfishes.

They are very tiny but you can already see the structure of a platyfish especially their stomach. Hehe It's almost a day but mommy platyfish is still giving birth. Baby platy fishes is now ten and we are still waiting for how many more mommy platy can give. Such an amazing experience and worth gazing up for a moment. A daily dose of anti-stress is what we need right? It's just amazing how these pretty fishes can give that to humans for free.

Now we are trying to breed Bettas.

As you can see at the moment, betta fish are now in one container so that they'll get along with each other.

It's quite unique how betta fishes have a different reproduction process compared to other fishes.

Male betta fish will start to court the female and he will make several bubbles which is called a bubblenest. If the girl finally agreed, they will have to swim like a dancing couple and female will eventually drop some eggs. The male will do most of the job like collecting the eggs and putting it inside the bubbles he made. He will guard them until the eggs hatch and the father betta also have to teach them how to swim before we can isolate him to the fry. Fry is the baby fish or his offspring.

I pray that they will get along well and it will be our successful first time breeding of Betta fishes experience too.
