Known-Unknown Desk: Rabindranath Tagore was a leading Bengali poet, novelist, composer, playwright, illustrator, short story writer, essayist, actor, vocalist and philosopher. He is considered to be the greatest writer of Bengali language.
The philosopher Rabindranath, who possessed a multi-dimensional literary genius, was not at all serious or serious. His poetic mind was full of humor. His use was simple, straightforward with everyone. Below are some interesting incidents that happened in the personal life of the poet-
1. Once Rabindranath and Gandhiji sat down to eat together. Gandhiji did not love to eat luchi at all. So he was allowed to eat oatmeal. And the poet was eating hot luchi. Seeing this, Gandhiji sat down and said to him, "Gurudev, you do not know that you are consuming poison." In reply, Rabindranath said, "It will be poison, but its action is very slow.
2. Rabindranath once wrote to Professor Bidhusekhar Shastri of Santiniketan, โNowadays you are doing very wrong at work. This is a heinous crime. That is why I will punish you tomorrow afternoon. โ Shastri Mshai was completely unprepared for such words of Gurudev. What wrong has he done for which he deserves punishment?
Concerned and apprehensive Shastri spent the night without sleep and came to the poet the next day. Even then, the poet kept him in a state of anxiety for some time. Finally Rabindranath appeared from the next room with a thick stick in his hand. Mister Shastri then lost his senses for fear. He thought that the stick would fall on his head. The poet exaggerated it and said, โHere is your punishment! You have completely forgotten what you left here that day! โ
3. It was Rabindranath's habit to read a novel whenever he wrote it at a Gunijan gathering in Santiniketan. Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay used to attend his meetings from time to time. Once outside the hall, his shoes were stolen because he took them off. Inevitably, the next day, Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay wrapped his shoes in two pieces of paper, hugged them and entered the hall. Realizing that, the poet asked Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay, Sharat, is that Padukapuran in your armpit? Everyone started laughing when they heard this on Ravi Tagore's face.
4. A gentleman once wrote to Rabindranath, "Do you believe in ghosts?"
The poet replied, โBelieve it or not, their violence is sometimes felt เฆฆ in literature, in politics, everywhere, at one time or another, they are in full swing. I saw. It looks like a human being! '
5. Rabindranath was not in favor of the students of Santiniketan. He never wanted to hurt anyone. Once a complaint came about Pramathanath Bishi. Such a situation that it is not necessary to bake him. Despite his reluctance, Gurudev scolded Pramatha for a long time. He paused and said, "But the fact is, I don't know anything about it."
Rabindranath breathed his last. He said, โSurvive. You were scolded and you didn't get hurt again. โ
