Great photography I must say.....you have shared the picture of grasshopper is amazing...it looks so beautiful... thanks for sharing these type of beautiful pictures with us... Grasshoppers are a group of insects belonging to the suborder Caelifera. They are among what is probably the most ancient living group of chewing herbivorous insects, dating back to the early Triassic around 250 million years ago....The grasshopper benefits humans and the ecosystem in general by facilitating plant decomposition and regrowth, creating a balance between the types of plants that thrive. Despite their small size, grasshoppers consume enough plant life to influence the types of plants that subsequently grow.....Grasshoppers are often considered to be more harmful than helpful when it comes to their interaction with vegetation and crops, but whether they are indeed harmful or helpful depends upon the species. There are an estimated 11,000 to 20,000 grasshopper species worldwide.....Rangeland plants may be harboring a virus that grasshoppers are transmitting to cattle, horses and other hoofed mammals, according to a new study...One good method to get them is to lay out a fuzzy flannel or wool blanket in a field where there are lots of grasshoppers. Start at the opposite end of the field, and drive towards the blanket. The hoppers legs will get caught long enough for you to grab them....Grasshoppers are found on all continents except Antarctica.
