Dreaming to be a child again!
Each time I watch the kids in my yard having some good time , I am always tempted to think if going back to being a child. Despite how good and not too good my childhood was, I wish I could go back there a second time. Have you ever had this kind of thought before?
Read through some of my childhood memories. You can share yours in the comment section.
Who was your best childhood friend? Write about some of the fun things you used to do together?
Jennifer and I have been friends since from childhood, and we were about the same age. She's just few months ahead of me. She had this sweet looking face with the prettiest smile ever. We had so much fun together. Our friendship brought both families together and we became one family. I mentioned in my first article here that I love dogs.... Yeah!! Jennifer made me love them. Our friendship grew to the point that we became so close until people began to see us as sisters. Our friendship seemed to have ended when her family relocated to another state, but thank God for social media. We got back together around 2012. The most fun thing we use to do together was communicating in a language no one else understands. We never missed watching cartoons together, and we have this way of always laughing out loud.
When you were little, did you ever try to run away from home? What made you want to leave? What did you pack?
Very well. There were days I will be so frustrated that I will have the thought of leaving the house at my age. It wasn't my fault though. When I was a child, I use to hate anything medicine. My parents will always force me and my siblings to take drugs when we show any sign of illness. I wanted to run away from such a life completely. As a child I then, I focused more on the now and not the future. So packing some of my stuffs an running away was not on my mind.
Did you have your own bedroom growing up, or did you share with a sibling?
No! Me and my siblings share the same room. We loved it that way, to be together. I personally could not sleep alone in a room, so there was no need to ask for a special room. But as we grew up, the girls have their own separate room, same with the boys. Now I can confidently sleep alone in a room with fear.
Have you ever needed stitches, broken a bone, or been hospitalized?
No.... I have never broken any of my bones before, not even getting a stitch on any part of my body. My mom use to tell me that I was so strong as a child. Not for one day has she spent a night in the hospital. Every illness I had then was always cure from the drugs they will buy from the pharmacy. No hospital.
Did you grow up with family traditions? Describe one
My nuclear family had a good number of traditions. I grew up to like some of them. The ones I disliked so much was no playing of circular music on Sundays. My family is just too religious.... I grew up to see my parents as givers, and they made it as a tradition that we as their children must learn how to give even when we have very little. And because of how generous my family was, people loved visiting our house.... You know the other side of the story ....
What are your happiest childhood memories?
I still wonder how this became one of the happiest memories. Receiving money from visitors or any of our relatives that visits our house. I never used the money to buy things for myself, my mom will take it from me the moment the visitor leaves. But then I was always happy.
I wish I could turn the hand of time back to when I was a child. I miss a so much about it.
We are coming to the end of the age. In fact we are at the end of the age. And there is a pull like in the days of Noah. There's a pull for everyone to go the way of the world, but there's also a high calling... there's a calling for men to go against the tide, for men to walk with God... And every man in this hour that will walk with God they will carry dimensions of God that have never been seen on planet earth before. Because God is about to cloth this earth with His glory. And is going to manifest to principalities and powers the manifold wisdoms of God through His elect and select. There's a call coming out to you to up the tempo. Press in and make God your best friend.
