Surprise visit to home

Warm Greetings!!! Hope you all had a splendid weekend. Every one of us should be busy with one or the other job. My self went home to meet my parents. A lovely day spent productively.

I happen to pay a surprise visit with my family, to my home. At my home are my aged parents. They were so excited on seeing us. There welcoming smile makes our day. It is an hours journey in car, but fortunately a bridge which was under construction for the past 3 year, got completed . So we were able to reach in 30minutes. Recently it was inaugurated by the government. And now its open to the public due to which we are able to save almost 10-12km, to go home.

This is the bridge that saves our time. Down there is the harbour.

If I had to say about my parents. Both of them are nearing 80's. But even today they take care of themselves. Both of them enjoy cooking and doing little house hold chores and gardening. Doing all the work with great pleasure and with no complaints or no compliments. A maid drops in regularly to help in the daily chores assigned to her, probably for an hour.

Whenever I make a visit, I can never say that my old parents are staying in that home. Cos the house is kept so neat and tidy, honestly. The bedsheets are being spread evenly and neatly, the dining table is neat with no extra things over it and seating are just arranged in a perfect manner. Our garden is just extended with more variety of croton plants, and more of red Balsom and some spices. Sorry, could not take a single picture. There are few teak wood trees from which the leaves keep falling making a real mess of the beautiful garden. But they remain there only for few minutes afterwhich they are piled up in a corner of the house for manure.

They have a beautiful visitor who is regular and friendly. Who?? It's the cute cat. Sorry can't say its a visitor, it's more like a member of the family now. It loves raw as well as cooked fish. A very obedient cat. It doesn't get into the house unless and until called for. It loves to sleep in an open carton. It likes visitors.

Organic fruits like Banana, Guava, Jackfruit, papaya, pomegranate and custard apples are growing in the garden. Jackfruit season just started, i plucked a small one for curry purpose. It is one of the healthy food. Bananas are always in the garden, so each time I go home I don't cone empty hand.

Jackfruit season have just started.. I just plucked a small raw one. This tastes good when boiled with turmeric, salt and little chilli powder . Mash it when cooked. And finally add some powdered cumin seed with coconut and saute in coconut oil for a while. It's quite a healthy meal. You can enjoy it with rice or can have with tea.

So after enjoying a while at home with parents, I left home at night. It was really a productive weekend cos I could help them in all their household chores.
