Sunday's Reminder: Choose your battle wisely

"The Lord will fight for you;you only need to be still." Exodus 14:14 Actually, I really don't have any plan to published any article today because I wanted to take a rest and just enjoy this day. However, my mind just don't what me to do it. This morning, I attended a sunday survice and our pastor's preaching talks about choosing battles wisely. It got my interest and attention since I could somehow relate with the title. He talks about the story of Moises, Israelites and their encounter with the Red Sea. *As Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt, they encounter the classic Red Sea standoff. Many Israelites debate whether they should give up or surrender to the Egyptians, with the Egyptians behind them and the sea stretching out in front of them. They panicked, git scared and even some of them blamed Moses. However, this doesn't make Moses lost his faith is his God.* *Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”* All of us has our own battles to fight daily. Some fight for their dreams. Some fights for their loved ones. Some fight for the things they believe are right. Some fights to protect. Some fights their ownselves. And some fights to survive. As long as we are breathing, we always need to fight. However, not every battles deserves our energy and time. Sometimes, we exert too much energy and time fighting the battles that was never ours in the first place. We are trying to manipulate the situation that is beyond our control. We keep on worrying and felt the urge to fight back where all God wants for us is to be still and let Him fight the battle. Personally, I have a lot of uncertainties, questions, unsures and anxiety. But there's one thing that I am certain during this process. The Lord got my back as always, whether I fall or succeed. He is constant. He is there in my risks and sacrifices, in my heartbreaks and breakthroughs , in my mourning and rejoicing. He is there at any kind of season. And that makes my fear breaks and fall to the ground. I may wonder about His plan for me that causing an excitement and trembling as well, yet truly He knows and holds the future. So I throw my worries away, and will boldly face the giants in my way. To go on, to fight, to overcome, to hope and to love. Always remember that there are battles that you need to fight with God and battles that we need to surrender to Him. Be wise in choosing your battles beloved. Thanks for reading. God bless you and more power. P.S Lead image is mine. I captured it before I went to church.
