Yesterday was mine, today's hers. Date: April 12, 2022 Author: Sequoia **"It's rare to find a human being that shares the same interest, attitude, and energy as yours in this world full of** ***opposite attract*** **perceptions."** We often hear the above prominent adage since we have constantly fed up with such opinions from the people we surround ourselves with. However, it cannot be applied to everything in life. Certain things support this claim, but this usually fails when it comes to people's characteristics. No matter how much we try, we still tend to prefer to be with people with the same feather as ours. Who would even desire to be with a tiger when you are actually a giraffe? Aside from your physical appearance, your greatest differences would be your attitude, energy, and survival skills. With that being stated, the opposites attract idea is a total myth. That works perfectly right as well in every relationship, may it be romantic or platonic type. Personally, I would always go with someone who shares the same principles in life as I do. Why? Well, won't it be annoying to be with certain people that contradict your principles, norms, and beliefs? I mean, I am not saying that it won't work, because there's still a big possibility that it will do. However, it will solely depend on both parties, how much they are willing to compromise just to work things out on their end. But I won't be discussing that possibility today since this write-up would be more on the reasons why we have to choose to be with people that have the same feathers as ours. Fasten your seatbelt because we will venture into a world of similarities and likes by crossing this threshold. Let's go! _________________________________________________ **Fewer arguments, more mutual understandings.** Of course, when the person you choose to be with shares the same perception in life as you, you won't be having a hard time connecting with each other. Even if you don't voice it out, that person already knows what you mean. **Partner in Crime** Isn't it amazing to be with someone whom you can make your partner in crime as well? Please note that this isn't literal okay? Both of you could do fun and enjoyable things together without feeling guilty because the other one is not having fun. **Knows their limitations** Since both of you shares the same characteristics, you will be aware of the things that should and shouldn't be done in order to have a harmonious relationship and avoid hurting each other as much as possible. _________________________________________________ **Conclusion** Regardless of our likes, dislikes, principles and norms, and perceptions in life, let's always choose the people that make us comfortable and happy.
