WARNING: There is No Purgatory!
Brace yourselves. Hard truths ahead. I am coming out and saying in a spirit of love that there is no such thing as purgatory and that it is a lie straight from the pit of hell. You, the person who blocked me, you will not have any adverse affect on the truth I will now teach those **who have ears to hear**. First of all, your sponsorship is cancelled. I cannot and will not support a false teacher who leads people to hell. These false doctrines are crippling your walk with God and denying the sufficiency of Christ's death on the cross. Please stop the lies! You know who you are. **Better yet, the Lord knows.** For those of you who wish to unsubscribe, that, too is fine; but the truth from God (not from me) must be spoken and falsehoods must be corrected. "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for **teaching, rebuking, correcting and training** in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work" (2 Timothy 3:16-17, NIV). False teachings I have diligently tried my best to teach and preach from God's word, the Bible. I am fully aware that many will not hear my words. That's okay by me, it really is. Most people did not believe the words of Jesus or His disciples, so I can expect nothing less. But I cannot and will not sit idly by and allow false teachings and a disrespect for God's truth to be left to fester in the minds of people. I cannot and I will not. It must not be allowed. Purgatory One of the doctrines of the Catholic Church is that of a resting place between heaven and hell called purgatory. **The Bible, God's truth, informs us of no such place.** When we die, our mortal bodies return to the dust of the earth and our souls go to heaven or hell to await the resurrection. **That is the absolute truth.** Anyone who teaches and preaches the false doctrine of purgatory is a false teacher and will pay the price of destruction for their error. We need to adhere to God's truth, we must obey God rather than man's teachings and traditions. The Question The central question is this: When Jesus died on the cross, was his atonement for sin sufficient to pay for all sins? **The answer demands a yes or no answer.** You see, the idea of some mythical resting place for the dead is absurd. The primary Scriptural passage Catholic priests point to for evidence of Purgatory is 1 Corinthians 3:15, so let's have a look at the verse in its proper context. "If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved--even though only as one escaping through the flames" (1 Corinthians 3:15, NIV). What is the context here? This is important. Why? Simply because **a text without context is a con**. The context of Paul's letter to the church in Corinth concerns **one's works done as a believer. It has absolutely nothing to do with purgatory.** Purgatory, like many other Catholic dogmatic teachings, is founded on an erroneous misunderstanding of the nature of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross at Calvary. Catholics observe that the Mass/Eucharist is a representation of Christ’s sacrifice, and this is because they fail to understand that the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus was absolutely and perfectly sufficient. The Mass crucifies Jesus again and again and again! See the verse below for your spiritual enlightenment. Speaking about Jesus, the writer of Hebrews said: "Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices **day after day**, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins **once for all** when he offered himself" (Hebrews 9:27, NIV). Purgatory is understood by Roman Catholics as a place of cleansing in preparation for heaven. However, they have been taught unscriptural myths, a damnable heresy at that. The clergy does not recognize this, and this is because with the sacrifice of Jesus we are **already cleansed, declared righteous, forgiven, redeemed, reconciled, and sanctified**. Listen to the word of God: "Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to **face judgment**" (Hebrews 9:27, NIV). There is no stopover between heaven and hell. Your prayers for the dead are wasted breaths and nobody who is already dead can have their status changed. The false teacher Johann Tetzel said, "As soon as the coin in the coffer rings, the soul from purgatory springs.” In 1517, Tetzel was selling indulgences, commissioned by the pope near Wittenberg. He claimed that the papal cross, under which these indulgences were sold, **held as much power as the cross of Christ.** He was a con man and a liar. He was a blasphemer and his rightful place is not heaven. For Believers "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8, NIV). This happens immediately upon the death of a believer. For unbelievers and false teachers First, take note of the **FACT** that the Lord Jesus Christ referred to hell in the New Testament more than anyone else, and He spoke of Hell as a real literal place. **He never mentioned purgatory.** False teachers should be worried: "Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘**I never knew you**. Away from me, you evildoers!’"(Matthew 7:22-23, NIV). "But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there **will be false teachers among you**. They will secretly introduce **destructive heresies**, even **denying the sovereign Lord** who bought them—**bringing swift destruction on themselves**. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. **Their condemnation** has long been hanging over them, and **their destruction has not been sleeping**" (2 Peter 2:1-3, NIV). "But for the cowardly and **unbelieving** and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8). Warning **Listen to God's word**. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross paid for all of the sins for those that would believe. There is no such thing as universalism, that is, that everybody is going to heaven. Even Jesus said the following: "Enter through the narrow gate. **For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it**. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it" (Matthew 7:13-14, NIV). There is no such thing as purgatory, either. We all face judgment and our eternal life is dependent on what we believe now not later when we are dead. Refuse to fall for the false teachers whom Satan and his minions have bewitched. It is appointed for man to die once, after that, judgement.
This is truth. Many people who profess to be in Christ love to have their ears tickled. When the hard truths are presented some will not hear as you have stated. If they will but look at these verses and others, they can see it for themselves. But it is far easier to listen to their priest with all his fancy adornments and swallow lies than it is to listen to a lowly person who speaks the truth.
Tickled ears is an apt description, Razor. Many churches today are lukewarm and preach easy believism and that all is okay with the world.
Yes, we can read about the 7 churches beginning in Revelation 2.
Never would have predicted that the guy I grew up with would change so completely as you have. Keep teaching and preaching!
Christ Jesus changes lives. All glory to God.
You said it best. We have to submit.
The hymn lyrics go: "Trust and obey, for there's no other way..."
That's an old tune that is right on.
It is. I like the old hymns instead of the entertainment that has entered the church nowadays.
Ditto. It's like failed rock bands have entered the church nowadays.
Didn't know it was a doctrine though, it was just a book of Dante about hell and purgatory. Though used in many sermons, it wasn't tackled in college as a doctrine.
It is indeed a Catholic doctrine. Doctrine equates to foundational teaching. Moreover, the Catholic Church began selling indulgences and teaching the lie of purgatory in 1095 or thereabouts, 200 years plus before Dante.
Well, catholic church has been known for selling a lot historical including of course prayers for the dead. It was so because the found out doing this can raise funds of all sorts. True it was never corrected but rather tolerated until has been practiced all throughout the history, it doesn't mean to say it doctrinal? I would say many catholics are blind devouts of all these practices which is why Christian life programes has been active in the past decade or two. I dont know how and it started but that is to correct the ways that started all of this. hmmm... now i realized this is a long discussion... hahaha! good morning!
Yeah, good morning to you as well. Google this: The Doctrine Of Purgatory. You'll see that I am right.
Well, thank u I will. Certainly, our books were archiac it didn't contain such but that was about 2 decades ago when i was still at school. hihihi.
This doctrine has been around for 1,000 years or so.
Oh! Now I missed it.
Read up on it.
Well, even if I read on it. It dont think it would serve its purpose. I already have a written purpose and im not really interested in anything that is not supporting that purpose. I would agree that there are really doctrines of the catholic church that are way off but i still get to choose what to believe in. its not as promising as others will view it, but this is as far as i go with my faith and im happy with the outcome. Thank u.
I could not disagree more. Christians do not get to choose what to believe that is contrary to God's word. Guess that about wraps up the discussion. Good day.
Of course, believing against God's word is definitely not Christian. It goes to say, without Christ-I-AM-Nothing. Happy weekend kuya!
Thank you and same to you.
Justification is by faith in the blood of Christ alone. Christ died for all sins. Throughout Scripture we learn it’s either you go to Heaven or hell.
Yes, it couldn't be ore clear. We cannot and must not pick a single verse or two taken out of context and make a feeble argument for a doctrine.
I am a Catholic but I am not offended about it. I respect your belief and I respect you as a whole. We all have different belief. I know also that purgatory was long ago become a words that use by priest in church to scare people or whatsoever the purpose. I understand that. Sometimes it's necessary to understand what we believe and not just believe and do it because others had been doing it. I myself knows that must people in my church wasn't rooted that deep like yours eventhough they go to church everyday or every Sunday. Still if asked deeper of ways and doctrines and why doing such things don't know the reason. Most things would end up saying because their parents thought them so. It is very much important to learn and know things before believing them. Thanks for the enlightenment.
It's not just my belief, Grace; what I said is straight from God's infallible word. If you study the issue you can be further enlightened about the false teaching of purgatory. It's far worse than a Lazada or Shopee scam.
My bad. I will be very interested Scot to learn from the words of God.
I encourage you to read the Bible daily. It will change your life. Compare whatever a teacher or preacher says with God's word. Oftentimes in our times doctrines are wrong and are leading people astray just as God said would happen.
You are very brave Scotty. You would never tolerate false teachers to spread their opinions. Thank you for being instrument for other people to be enlightened with nothing but the truth. God will bless u
Thank you for the compliment. I do this so Jesus may be glorified by spreading His truths.
We are all born of christ , we must not waste the blood Jesus shared at the cross. We must follow the way if christ , good job boss
I can't understand too much but there is my not too much opinion about this . I there is a something new which you tell is and have Best wishes for you I can't understand more tough English that why I will not take my opinion about this article. Good morning Dear Friend have a Good Day Best wishes for you and have a great job
No problem. Understood, Abdul.
I am in full support of you sir, purgatory is a doctrine from the pit of hell and shouldn't be supported, not even the false teachers. And i appreciate your effort on erasing false teachers on this platform
Purgatory is a doctrine from the devil himself directly and he has sent his agents around the world who are the false prophets to deceive people and you're doing a great job to erase them from this platform
Sp many people have been deceived by this topic and many others because they have not read and studied God's word. What use is spiritual knowledge without application? It is valueless thus I share to encourage and correct for the glory of Christ.
Scripturally sound teaching. I was raised a Catholic and there are several false doctrines in the RCC. Those that teach them and mislead the people have a rude awakening come Judgment Day.
Then you are well versed in what to say to Catholics. Of course, in a loving manner.
Yes, it can be tough to get through to them but I just present the truth and let God work.
There is nothing like a place of rest after death for everyone and no prayer for the dead is sustained to deliver them after death as there is no repentance after death we are only left with the mercy to be pronounced Please heed to the warning while still on mother earth as your reward awaits you A good example is the rich man and Lazarus Luke 16 : 13 - 31
You understand, You mentioned the Luke 16:19-31 passage which is indeed a good example. Thanks for the addition.
