#vinylrecords #vinyl #records #vinyljunkie #U2 U2 - The Joshua Tree (1987) What do Austria, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland, Sweden, the UK, the Netherlands and the USA have in common? This album went to #1 on the charts in each of those countries. 1,000,000 copies sold in Canada and Germany, almost 3 million in the UK, and TEN million in the USA. That is not too shabby of a performance. Two #1 hits ("With or Without You" & "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For") and "Where the Streets Have No Name" reached #13 in the USA. Mikey likes. :-) Side one - 1. "Where the Streets Have No Name" 2. "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" 3. "With or Without You" Side two - 1. "Bullet the Blue Sky" 2. U2 is one of my favourite bands. Cant believe that albums over 30 years old now!
A definite must have if you are a music fan.
I have some friends who think U2 is one of the greatest bands ever. While I really like some of their songs, I always thought their instrumentation was kinda "mushy", and wasn't too fond of them for that reason. But when I'd tell that to folks, you would have thought I just insulted their momma! So okay, like Dylan I can appreciate U2's song writing genius. Just please don't make me listen to them for too long.
