We grew in a society wherein value isn’t a big deal in culture. But no! we are wrong about it. The society is wrong. Little we did know that the culture that we still have today was built because of the values that our ancient people had.
The values that we have makes our culture.
Values are our beliefs and culture is our behavior that is the expression of those beliefs or values which means that, the establishing of values is the easy part of what we do in life but building a culture is not.
The culture is the implementation of our values that makes our norms. They are interconnected. According to Thomas Wolfe, “culture is the arts elevated to a set of values.”
As I stated above that the culture that we have today was started by being a value. For us to have it called culture, the values must be performed by everyone that is involve and continuously doing it right.
Furthermore, the value and culture makes who we are and what we are, so if we keep on adapting different cultures from different countries, the identity that our country has, will slowly fade away and it may be hard to build it again.
We have and we must embrace the culture that we have today because according to Mahatma Gandhi, “a nation’s culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people.”
