  • Roger Ver donated $2,000,000 in Bitcoin Cash to The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE.org) on January 19th 2020 to support FEE’s work in advancing individual liberty and educating students around the world on the moral and economic foundations of a free society. Previously, Roger Ver donated $1,000,000 in Bitcoin to FEE in 2013.

  • Sequoia Holdings, a large provider of software engineering services, will offer employees salary in the form of BTC, ETH and BCH. Sequoia CEO Richard Stroupe said that many of the company's employees are enthusiastic supporters of cryptocurrency. They will use the third-party payment provider to convert a portion of their salaries into cryptocurrencies with taxes withheld.

  • Bit.com, the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange launched by Matrixport, blockchain financial services, announced that it will go live with the world's first BCH perpetual options on February 1. Users can log in Bit.com through their Matrixport account.

  • In a reply to a tweet which boldy said "big institutions are only interested in (investing in) Bitcoin(BTC)", Michael Sonnenshein, CEO of Grayscale Investments commented that Grayscale is experiencing something different, and they are seeing growth in BCH and ETH.

  • Bitcoin Verde, a full-node implementation of the Bitcoin Cash protocol written in Java, is currently launching a fundraising campaign on Flipstarter to cover its expenses in 2021 with a fundraising target of 480 BCH.

  • Panmoni CEO George Donnelly has launched a BCH promotion campaign on Lazyfox.io, where participants can win 0.04 BCH by recording a short vlog about BCH.

  • CoinParty, a week-long global hackathon hosted by Bitcoin Unlimited, has concluded with the following grand prize winner: GeoDrop.cash, winner of the $8000 CoinParty Allstars Prize. The full list of winners and the CoinParty Awards Ceremony is on Youtube.
