Children's Day
November 14th is being celebrated as Children's Day in India. It is a declaration from the government of India. This day ia supposed to be the birthday of our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
According to this great personality today's children are tomorrow's future.
His incessant love towards Children made the government pass this rule. To celebrate Children's day every year on this particular day. His love towards children can never be measured. A simple man who always placed a rose in his kurta (a long sleeve knee length cotton shirt).
He was always happy in the company of children despite the fact he had less time to spend with children. Children, usually address him as "Chacha Nehru". Chancha means uncle. He was dear to his children.
On this particular day all educational and non educational institutions work on regular basis. No declaration of holidays officially by the governmenr.
In most schools there is a zero period in the 1st hour. During this period, children are directed to read the news, to read a preparatory speech, a patriotical group song by the students erc So on this particular day the school conducts competitions related to articles, drawings, poster making, quiz and finally a speech bybthe Principal.
Such competition are held to commemorate the birthday of this eminent personality and prizes are being distributed for all the participants. If you are lucky, you get choclates also. Most children are subjected to few responsibilities on this particular day. It is to bring out their responsility and execute them in a right way.
Stage shows are conducted by the staff and students to highlight the importance of patriotism on his particular day. It is a kind of awareness for the children to show their strength and weakness.
While looking at the present situation, there are children who are in large number in Shelter homes. The increase in the number of children every year is due to poverty or childbirth out of wedlock.
When children are going in the right path, it means our country is in safe hands.
"When children are going in the right path, it means our country is in safe hands."
I really love this quotation. If everything will took the right path, then for sure our country will succeed.
