6 Dating Apps you should know to have a successful love life
Online dating has become more and more popular over the last few years and it shows no signs of slowing down, with over 50% of online daters have used a dating app or service, according to recent research. It’s easier than ever to strike up conversations with potential matches, find someone you have chemistry with, and actually go on dates with them! But how do you find the right app? There are so many out there, it can be overwhelming to decide which one to try first or even figure out what they’re all about if you’re not very familiar with them.
1) Match
The oldest of all dating apps, Match was founded in 1995 by Joe Munoz. Originally called Electric Love, it took off after being rebranded as Match in 1996. The website is known for its high-quality matches, but also comes with a premium price tag. For example, paid users are shown more profiles than free users and can also browse other cities. Plus: You can set your age range between 18 and 80.
2) We Heart It
For those who aren’t aware, We Heart is an app where users can save images and videos they find online. The app has blossomed over time into a full-fledged social network. Users post pictures or videos that have been handpicked from other sites such as Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr. Uploaded media will be tagged with similar content to help users find their niche on We Heart It. Unfortunately, it’s not possible for new users of We Heart It to upload pictures/videos from their own camera roll; it must be uploaded by way of another application (Instagram for example). The good news is, there are lots of different options when it comes to using your camera roll in other applications like Instagram or Snapchat - so use one of those!
3) Bumble
A location-based dating app that only allows women to initiate contact with men. The app boasts more than 17 million users, most of which are based in North America and Europe. Bumble is a great way for women to avoid being harassed by men in social settings and gives them a bit more control over who they connect with romantically. If you’re feeling particularly shy about joining an online dating site, try using Bumble for practice before moving on to something like OkCupid or Tinder. You might just find yourself meeting some of your best friends or potential dates!
4) Coffee Meets Bagel
It’s not easy finding the one. Online dating takes time and effort, especially with so many options out there. The perfect online dating app for relationships of all kinds Hinge is like meeting someone at a bar: quick, intimate, and low pressure. If you want to skip past small talk and get straight into chatting with matches, download Hinge now!
5) Happn
The app introduced location-based dating. Similar to Tinder, it is able to match users with potential partners in close proximity. Users are given five daily matches and one hidden match for every day they check in on Happn; otherwise, users can send an unlimited amount of likes or passes. The app boasts over 50 million registered users since its founding in 2014 and has raised $17 million from investors. It is available on iOS and Android devices as well as online through Facebook Messenger or desktop.
6) Hinge
This app is location-based, and it uses your smartphone's GPS to find people in your area. It combines Facebook information with basic information about users that are based on their interests, likes, and dislikes. If you click yes on someone's profile, they'll be notified that they've been matched. You can then begin communicating with them. Just like Tinder, users can also swipe left or right based on whether or not they're interested in finding out more about another user.
Ooh I haven't heard of the other apps but me and my husband met through bumble hahaha
