University Teachers Behavior to Their Profession

Today I'm going to discuss a sensitive topic. I hope you will stay here, and read my writings patiently.

Limitations :The article will revolve around teachers.

Let me start.

The only job of a university teacher is to make slides and papers of the lectures, and so far, I have seen not only one or two, but dozens of such teachers (over a hundred) who download these slides from the internet and give these to their students . And these teachers have salaries are in millions of rupees . Amd such teachers and professors, do not even know how to make a paper exactly by themselves and they mostly copy the questions from the internet and give them to the children, in this way they conduct a quiz.

Now, guess what caliber of a teacher is who, doesn't know how to ask questions from the students, what can he teach? and what mental caliber he can have before his students? If you ask any university-going student that, how your teacher teaches you? , he or she will tell you more than 90% of the teachers that they take slides from, SlideShare and create websites like Quizlet, Sanfoundry, Chegg, CourseHero etc . And they copy thr questions from reputable university papers(like virtual university in pakistan) that have nothing to do with slides. Some of the slides don't even match the course. And sometimes they don't even need to read the slide once downloaded in the laptop or computer. It feels like the teacher is reading a slide for the first time in class, lol.

If we talk about thr students and professional learning. Teaching someone something is not the goal of this kind of teachers. All of this is just for printing dull research papers in a cycle of their own development to get promotions etc.

One of my friends said to me that,

"I have done Civil Engineering degree from UET Lahore(Punjab Pakistan) . Which is considered to be the most standardized and best university in context of merits, in the public sector in Pakistan . There was no one except a single teacher, who made his own slides and added new research methods in the curriculum. Otherwise, there were most other teachers who read from their old (almost 90's) written lecture notes and tell us to write these notes further andy the whole wrote learning system is followed until this modern era when world are far more ahead from us. Lime(making fool the children) is also applied in the name of so called experiments. In this degree of Civil Engineering, Surveying Lab we were taught to work with nineteenth century(means much older as compared to moder labs) instruments. In modern era, total station used for the surveys was not even visite once in my whole degree session . When I did the practical work and asked them about their university equipment, they laughed louder and said that it was for sure fifty years older . Now the digital total station just does every work . The world will make pickle of such graduates? Universities are just money-making machines these days, mostly in Pakistan . The brains for the state cannot be ready here to support country's economy and add into its growth.

And, When this type of teachers are asked about, what is the reason for the decline of our country in context of prosperity and knowledge? they will name a politician and say that it is his corruption that has ruined our country.

In Pakistan, it is like not having teacher training properly . The most useless person of the world who cannot become anything and couldn't make his/her career in any other field of life , comes out towards teaching and becomes a teacher, and ruins the future of the young generation, this is a very serious issue if we will not do anything to tackle, it will engulf our next whole generation.

We all know that, most of our teachers in universities are not sincere with their profession. It has become a different matter, the condition of our schools is more pity able than our universities. Especially in government schools where every child is tried to be chased away with the same sickness of being ignored by the builder of nation . The lines of lessons are given to the children to memorize these lines . Now the children are having thousands of problems. These teachers didn't teach them but, torture them every time.

Think of a child who has ADHD traits , such children are perfectly normal, but their movements are not normal and they can not focus on one task, or sit comfortably in one place for q little time. If you ask them to do something, after ten to twenty seconds they will lose focus/interest in doing that thing and become lost in other thoughts. But The tragedy is that, teachers who do not even understand the personality traits of these special children, start beating them like they are animals(children). These children are forced to run away from the schools or are made to feel uncomfortable all the time they exist in school.

Imagine for a second that, you were transposed into the karmic driven world of Earl. Wouldn't such a person(who can't understand the personality traits of children) be a greater tyrant than Hitler? Yes, he is aatyrant for children . Imagine, if you are a primary or middle teacher then google the children's personality traits, or ask a less educated person like me but please do not be cruel, do not use use violence against children nor force them to cross the line against their own mental limits, it is cruelty against them. Becoming a teacher is not an easy task at all and it is a sensitive responsibility to perform . If you can't perform this job, i then please choose another field to fill your stomach but don't ruin the lives of children.*

Me and my elder brother, we were talking about this topic of teacher's behavior to his profession and to the children, my elder brother said that.

"If we we can't do anything in life we become a teacher. So many of my friends got angry at this".

It is totally has no worth at all.

This is the only profession that produces every profession.

• And such a frivolous attitude in the matter.

• How not to spoil.

• Then this is very wrong in my view.

• That every educated person can read.

• PhD doctors have a misconception that they can read well.

• Teaching is an art that only those who have this ability should come to this field.

• I know many teachers who have a lot of knowledge M.Phil Ph.D. but there are so many problems in delivering their speech that they can't understand anything.

• To do He does it so easily.

That fact must be taken into account.

When I went to university in 2016 I had so many dreams that they would teach, we will learn , and they would do it in real. But when I saw all this heck, believe me, I used to come home regularly and cry on daily basis, the main concern of teaching and learning was left behind.

My younger brother (who is in 5th grade) had rebelled against his school and left his studies, went to school unwillingly and wandered the streets, then returned to home in time when school gets off. One day his teacher called my father to school and told him about my younger brother's performance and got very angry that, he could never be so rebel and naughty. Dady came to home and told the little bit that the "whole school was praising you". He is a very sweet child actually. His intelligence is very high than me. He should come to first position in his class or even in his school every year. From that day onwards, he worked hard thinking that such compliments would continue, and in a few days he left the whole class behind and really surprised all the teachers. Here is lesson for teachers that how a student can be handled wisely, how to retract a child when he is rebellion. All this isn't easy it also needs education that a teacher must learn first. We may call this education as 'teaching practice'.

I will mention one thing again that. If what can't be done here by any person here S/he becomes a teacher, especially girls(in Asian and Muslim communities). Amma Abba said don't do office work. Then only teaching is left for them to do.

Every child is unique, physically, mentally, emotionally he has his own special abilities. But they don't care about children's interests. And the beatings are not only in government schools but also in private schools. Cadet school is also in college, it is not reported.
