Hive Is Superior

I have often outlined the many reasons that make Hive superior to other blogging platforms that provide Crypto rewards. This is addressed more extensively in "Hive - The Communal Road To Independence" and is definitely worth a read if you are new to the Hive Ecosystem.

The fact that Hive is actually on the blockchain and is decentralized, well as decentralized as you are going to get, is a major reason why it is easier and better to publish content on Hive, as well as the many tribes that exist within the ecosystem. Having the peace of mind that your content is not going to be censored or removed based on whatever reason is and should be really appealing to most, if not all content creators.

I have always advocated running your own site, as well as building on Hive.

Longevity

Both provide reasonable assurance of providing longevity and are very much under the publisher's control. This is obviously the safest and the best option. Needless to say, this is where you would want to be focusing your time and attention. Dedicating time and effort to a platform that can remove or silence you without any recourse doesn't make much sense, does it?

Prioritize For The Long Haul

I am definitely not saying that these other alternatives should be ignored. However, I am suggesting that content creators should be prioritizing platforms that actually enable them to be independent and censorship-free. You can't please all of the people all of the time. Sometimes that dynamic can become a problem on centralized platforms or platforms that the writer does not own. As a platform to publish content, Hive is hands down superior to absolutely any other option in my opinion.

Of course, this is merely my opinion but I am sure there are quite a lot of bloggers who would agree with me. Earning Crypto for your contributions, compounded by building a presence lifts Hive into another level altogether. In essence, you become a shareholder who grows his holdings over time in an investment that will flourish going forward. It looks like a no-brainer to me. What are your thoughts?

I'm trying to learn the best practices of using Hive. I signed up for Ecency, but I'm not sure how the system of points work yet. It seems like I need to generate more before I can participate. Anyway, thanks for the info on Hive. I'm eager to learn more about the platform.

I don't use Hive, I blog on my own website. I control my website. I don't make a lot of money, but at least I am making money from my blog. Do you think I should get started on Hive even though I have my own blog that generates revenue?
