Good morning and a happy new day every user of @ read.cash, I know it's been a wonderful and a series of an untold situations as we have all been through a difficult times in this nefarious journey of no mercy and no return that life continues to present to us.

At least, for one reason, i am very very happy that i'm alive and among the living who had the privelege of witnessing yet another day as I hope that should equally be your feelings at the moment.

We all live in a world where critical times hard to deal with will be here, (1 timothy 3vs 1-3) hence that's the case, then we should be happily so as we've been able to fashion out a way of survival having built a strong survival mechanism in order to stay alive until this period.

Everyone seems to have a humble begining or a history if you like and hence that is the case, we have usually from time to time celebrated such histories, humble beginings or birthdays in the most outstanding and envious fashion, styles and many more, what a prospect and privelege!

If I decide to conduct a questionaire regarding our ages, the answers will all get here for sure will overflow. This is true as people all over the world are happily ready to want to share their birthdays moments, joy and fun with you cos such days are days that would never come twice in a man's life but rather it will come but once.

This same situation also goes with countries of the world since i've nevery seen a country without a day of birth or inception otherwise known as Independence.

What then is Independence?

Just as the name implies, Independence in a more simple definition means freedom from something. This could be freedom from the shackles of bondage, religion, political, believes, indoctrination, spiritual bondage, a master and many more ways of gaining or having the right to stay free regardless of what the situation is.

You can also say it to mean the right one has to live, walk about and decide freely what one wants in life without any fear or favour, hence it should never be forgotten that the word Independence was used to mark an end to what most philosophers saw as "years of a hostile and unauthorized domination, occupation and dehumenization of the most highest order".

That philosphical sayings and findings can be characterized or attribute at a time when the world was more or less like the Masters and the Serfs.

The Masters according to historians assumed themselves as the land owners while most or some of those lands the own and controlled were willed out to the Serfs who in turn do all neccessary farming jobs on them while they are paid some peanuts in their efforts to cultivate these plots if not acres of land that were left in their care.

This same situation between the lords and the serfs grew ever popular to an extent that many formations were made with respect to improving more and more on the European situation at that time who then had noticed an improvement in technology, medicine and sciences in general while an immense need so as to meet up with these demand grew excessively so much that the idea and the need for Colonialism became the order of the day, in fact, it was like a sweet song on the lips of every European especially with the way industralization got increased without having the neccessary manpower to fit into those areas of pressure.

The Berlin conference of 1884-1885 marked the genesis for Colonialism in Africa

The Berlin conference of 1884-1885 marked the year of colonization and of course, trade in Africa. This was coming on the backdrop of Germany who had at this time assumed the world power role.

The meeting and scrambling for Africa and its partitioning was the main subject of discussion at that time in a meeting that was presided over by the then first chancellor of Germany, Otto Von Bismark.

The meeting was however concluded with the partioning of Africa as have been said earlier, the establishment of a trade zone for their teeming industralial demands of raw materials for the production of their goods and of course the need for more manpower to be used in working out things in Europe.

During this period, a lot of things were done by these colonial countries that were known as the colonial masters. Slavery became the order of the day and the use of a forced labour was used rather than a more negotiable approach for a work to be done. In fact, the well established African traditions, ways of life were destroyed in order to allow an easy penetration and a total colonization to have a head way while they(the colonial masters) met their targets.

Situation at that time was worsened as most African were subjected under intence and severe slavery while they were forced to harvest their own natural resources like cocoa as can be seen from the above picture and many other natural resources for the production of finished goods in europe.

Such was the case of the world back then especially as it concerns Africa. More and more slaves were transported and bounded with chains to Europe in order to help grow the industralization in Europe yet under the most strigent of measures.

The evolution of Independence.

Before the coming of the Europeans, Africa already had an established ways of life but since these established ways of doing things were destroyed by this Europeans and given thier high handedness back then and africa's participation in the second world war of 1914, the need for self government became the order of the day by these African nations who though at that time have been taught or educated at the many universities in the western ways. This period moved us out of the imperialism and right into the era of the nationalism and its associated struggles.

The manchester meeting of 1945

This meeting in london proved to be the last straw that broke the camel's eye as many African nationalist groups like the Pan African congress have gained so much recognition that the move for Independence assumed a more advanced role and this period however did mark the end of the colonial rule with the replacement of the pure African system of government though European standard based.

This period also marked the end of discrimination racially while the demand for equality and that of human right were established in all fronts hence, Africa became self governing at this period though there were delays in the time of the Europeans leaving the shores of Africa as many African nations did receive their Independence much later of which Nigeria as the case of study here and for the purpose of this write up, was no left over in the delays to have her Independence.

It was a happy independence at last

It was independence at last which was gotten on the first of October nineteen sixty (October 1st, 1960) for Nigeria and that day down to this day have been marked and celebrated across the entire Nigeria federation that make up the entity called Nigeria and as such, I implore you to pls feel free to join us Nigerians in here in celebrating our independence day today being October 1st, 1960. Let us pop Champaign together in celebration of an achievement of greatness of a life time as I say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY NIGERIA. πŸŽ‚πŸŽπŸŽ„πŸΈπŸΊπŸ·πŸ»πŸŽπŸ…πŸπŸ‰πŸ‹πŸˆπŸπŸŠπŸ’πŸ‡πŸ…πŸŒπŸπŸŒ·πŸŒ²πŸŒ³πŸŒ½πŸŒ»πŸŒΉπŸŒžπŸŒ
