Literature can be compared to a nation's mirror. Standing in front of the mirror we see our own pictures. Similarly, the picture of social, political, economic and cultural life of a nation is known through literature. Society and human life are important elements of literature.

Literature is called the reflection of society as it is written about different events of social life. Literature gives joy to people. It inspires the human mind and increases the curiosity. Literature makes cowards brave.

Literature inspires the minds of the people in the critical moments of the country. There are many poets and writers in the world who have become immortal by composing literature. Poets and writers can present a country or a nation to the world in a beautiful way.

Kazi Nazrul Islam inspired the people by writing literature during the anti-British movement.

Jibanananda Dhas has described the diversity of nature in Bangladesh through his poems.

World poet Rabindranath Tagore has beautifully presented our golden Bengal to the world.

Again through foreign literature we get descriptions of socio-economic and political conditions of different nations.

For example, Leo Tolstoy, a famous Russian literary figure, through his famous novel ‘War and Peace’ we can get an idea of ​​the socio-economic and political situation of the whole of Russia.

The importance of literature is immense not only in personal life but also in national life. The past history and tradition of a nation finds a place in literature. The richer the literature of a nation, the more developed it is.

Bangladesh is a small country. The literature and culture of this country is very rich. However, literature is not just the work of poets or writers. It carries the overall culture of a nation.

The identity of different nations of the world is found in literature. It is through this literature that the identity of different countries and nations can be presented to the whole world.
