First of all the Farmer will take the Goat across and leaving the Wolf and the Cabbage behind. Then the farmer will return alone. Now the farmer will take the Wolf across.Again, the farmer will return with the Goat.We now have the Farmer, the Cabbage and the Goat all on one side and the Wolf on the other side.So now the Farmer will take the Cabbage across and then again he will return alone. And at last the Farmer takes Goat across and succeeds in taking all his belongings with him.

In total there are seven crossings (four forward and three back).

The wolf does not eat cabbage, so he can first take the goat. The man leaves the goat and returns, puts the cabbage in the boat and takes it across. And then, he leaves the cabbage but takes the goat back. He leaves the goat on the first bank and takes the wolf across. He leaves the cabbage with the wolf and returns back alone. He takes the goat across. They all now crossed the river. The total moves they did across the river is seven (7) @nvrblune @Charlotte
