In a country, where there is injustice, corruption and manipulation how can the people survive? Violence and killings have become paramount in the society. We live in fear and terror. We no longer find rest in our home land because they are no longer safe.

I learnt in a series that "a country can survive after a war, a country can also survive diseases and poverty but a country without justice cannot be able to survive in the end" I believe in this statement because the worst that can happen to a country is injustice. Where the people in power have abused their authority to trample upon the poor. Violence and Disruption has become the order of the day, no good news anywhere. A flashback to the times of war, World War, Civil War and so on, it's true that war is not good and devastating, then, people died too much but through it all, some survived and life continues after war. Even though it had an impact in different ways, but we overcome it. Diseases and plagues, even the so called "Black Death" that wiped out more than half of the people's population, people survived and moved on with their lifes. But what happens where there in injustice in a country, there is no war, no poverty, no disease or something else, but there's injustice and unfairness.

So, after service this afternoon, I opened my phone to see a message on our class group chat, it's a video followed by a news report. I decided to ignore the video and check the message first, then I read about a mass killing by fulani herdsmen, they attacked a Catholic Church and killed about 40 members while they kidnapped the Bishop.

The video was so horrific that I couldn't even watch it twice, human being lying in the pool of their own bloods, my heart was heavy as I watched the video, then I remembered a Bible verse that says"when the righteous are in authority the people rejoice but when the wicked rules the people groan" Proverbs 29:2. The question now is are we rejoicing or groaning? I have talked about how this country we live in is better than what we have now in one of my previous articles. Is this how things are supposed to be? Should we continue to die in silence?

The truth is that, this is not the first time this is happening, it has happened several times that the government has remained silent and refused to take any decisions. Or they will rather say that they are saddened and sympathise with the family of the deceased.

I recently watched a series based on revenge, though the film had fantasy, it portrayed a vivid image of the kind of country we find ourselves. The guy in question is a prosecutor, he alone stand out to be different in the midst of corrupted people. He decides to bring a known politician down due to his corrupt practices as he feels that nobody can bring him down. Everyone has decided to neglect him. Well, they didn't neglect him intentionally, they have choosen his side because he's their leader and he is very powerful. Unfortunately for the Prosecutor he got killed in the process. Though he came back to life (fantasy) and gets justice for all those who deserves it, that's to tell us how powerful how violence, killings and brutality has become rampant. They are doing what they want because they felt nobody is in any position to bring them to justice. They are so confident in what they are doing because they knew nobody is capable to bring them into justice.

How can we put an end to this attack everyday, and the truth is that it's getting closer, it has been happening in the Northern part of the country but this one happen in the Southern part, violence is spreading like a wide fire and it seems unquenchable.

Thank you for reading ♥️♥️♥️

Justice for the people is something important in realizing prosperity, when the leadership in a country cannot act fairly then the existing order in this country will be chaotic and messy, so when we want to have a prosperous country, then choose a fair leader so as not to abuse his authority.
