The Fund is a public thing, and it's always seen above the site. The amount it appears wildly differs due to Bitcoin Cash's price. This will be a little article than usual because this will show what a newcomer might see when they arrive in Read.Cash.
There are multiple ways where newcomers can learn about this site.
One of them is from Facebook with users reaching for each other wanting to earn cash through massive groups to earn money.
Another area from where newcomers come from are advertisements created by this good man @jwolf with his post: https://read.cash/@jwolf/banner-needed-2-rewards-bdec4504.
Another is Reddit itself, and the fact that multiple BCH users use this platform.
One final way is that we personally spread the word of Read.Cash and asking friends to join us.
Out of all of them, the most dangerous kind to get into Read.Cash are those that were from groups of strangers on Facebook and the advertisements created by @jwolf. Due to the fact that most of the vocal spammers are Filipinos, I'm inclined to say most of these were from Facebook.
Now, what do they see when they try out the site?
The "Exclusive" tick box is not open. They see beautiful articles that are possibly not even unique to the site, and the boosts are random that one refresh and it can become a totally different thing.
When they then make an account, they are greeted with your basic "Backup your Bitcoin Cash" pop-up, which for those that don't even know it, will just ignore it and see the fund and spending.
This would've been fine in today's standards, as people might notice things like "spammer alert" and "Community Watch" on boosted articles, but when it is over, the spammers arise. After all, they're the ones that might've actually created these advertisements.
The first thing they will check is the "points" and see that it pays out a specific amount per point, so they search around on how they can get points.
Then @devjani's insidious article here comes to play as they spot @Read.Cash banned. They have no idea why, and so they think that @devjani's article is legit and use it.
They will subscribe to them and ask her to subscribe back, and seeing as it worked (despite the article's claim), they will move on unto other topics until one day they will find themselves without any points and complain to Read.Cash.
They will then be stuck on a loop once these points warning disappear until enough people have marked them as spam and disabled their points to the point that they quit.
We shouldn't let this happen. We need to inform the newcomers about this. Support the Community Watch. You are not playing with US dollars, you are playing with Bitcoin Cash. You are not going to withdraw that money easily.
We will be watching.
Filipinos and Bangladeshis are the biggest scammers here. Then the Pakistanis.
