Trump's assistant allowed action against China's overseas assets

NEW YORK, April 21.

   US Presidential Assistant for National Security Robert O'Brien does not rule out that some actions may be taken against China’s foreign assets in connection with Beijing’s allegations of concealing data on a new coronavirus. O'Brien said this on Tuesday at Fox News.

When asked about how the United States could force China to provide this information or “hold accountable” for refusing to do so, O'Brien replied: “We have many tools at our disposal. In particular, as I understand it, here [in the USA] court lawsuits against China. We will see where this leads. " “Some of these lawyers are pretty corrosive, and China has a lot of assets around the world. Let's see what happens,” he added.

"Now we are calling on China to cooperate. We would like to get along with China," O'Brien explained. He noted that China should be allowed to enter Wuhan from the US Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. "China has a huge burden, they must explain to us where it all came from - from the food market or from the laboratory," O'Brien added. Earlier, US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo also stated that the Chinese authorities should allow foreign specialists to enter a laboratory in Wuhan, from which, according to a number of American media, a new coronavirus could supposedly begin to spread.

Last week, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijiang said that the version of the artificial creation of the coronavirus was not supported by any evidence. So he commented on the publication of the American television channel Fox News that the "zero patient" with coronavirus was supposedly a certain employee of the laboratory in Wuhan.

Fox News reporters made this statement, citing unnamed sources. The publication noted that the virus was allegedly transmitted to one of the laboratory staff from a bat. This employee, according to the above version, later infected the residents of Wuhan. CNN, citing sources, said that US intelligence is checking the version of the spread of coronavirus from a laboratory in Wuhan along with others.
